Match Review

Some fans can over look the fact WT have won 43% of matches since 2002. (Daily Tele this week) I sadly cannot.

The Cowboys on paper wouldve looked better suited to Qld Cup.

The same old **** happened in the second half and a better side wouldve put us to the sword.

There are simply too many small and/or soft players in the side. They get steamrolled.

The only way a young player will get a run at WT is if there are injuries. This is ridiculous because there are players whose performances week in week out do not warrant first grade selection.

WT will never be anything more than an also ran until forwards are chosen on the bench. Genuine forwards. Players who take the ball forward willingly.

I dont know what has to happen for the situation to change.

Not helped in the second half by a ref trying to even up the penalty count. With more luck, Burns should have been off or those video ref calls would have been the other way around. In saying that, at 22-0, you hope that you can go on to win by 40+. All three tries we let in were completely soft and unacceptable.

Many fans agree that we can`t afford to carry too many light weights on the bench. It`s quite obvious to see that when opposing sides get a roll on we get steam rolled, Parramatta will dead set flog us unless we bring in a bit more size and aggression. Payten may be back next week, but even if he is, we`ll still need another hard running prop, hopefully one will surface tomorrow at Pratten Park ?

To the MOTH,Ryan didn't even ground the ball on the no try,he is no better than Shannon.Thats 2 weeks in a row he has butchered tries,Shannon has a better strike rate.

****ing great game to watch. Some of the ball movement and tries had me almost at half mast.

Benji started to look like Benji. Took the line on a few times, looked dangerous and he stepped, which he hasn't done for eons.

Tuiaki getting knocked the **** out sucked, my missus said they were talking about him in the telecast and that he was "asking some weird questions" so they weren't sending him back out.

Our defence is still our biggest problem though, 3 **** tries by a team who looked like they had never played first grade before is unacceptable.

I don't think it was as doomsday as what people are saying. The positive sure outweighed the negs. The return to form for some players was great to see. Collis looked threatening everytime he got near the ball, the confidence of Marshall and the solid defence of Lawrence were great to watch. Head and Farah were solid. Their first try was crap a blatant knock on and Ryan's try should've been awarded, Payne was not a decoy runner. And yes Ryan did ground the ball. All this with 16 men. We don't have the man power in the forwards but they got the job done and we'll have the personnel returning slowly over the next few weeks.

I just hope that us winning this game with a bench of Morris, Payne (who is utter f**king garbage and offers absolutely nothing), Harrison and Ryan does not mean we'll see it again.

payne couldn't hold the ball if it was super glued to his hands, just not up to first grade...

id just about take trent runchiman over payne, he is that bad....

last night didnt convince me we are on to bigger and better things at all. how that rubble of a team managed to score the only three times they were in our quarter, and with ease, is a joke.

positives for me were marshall and collis looking back to their best, and hodgo being absolutely brilliant as always.

It's hard to see where last night stands us.
We have 1 prop
We were down to 16
They had some big guys who made some easy yards
We gave away cheap penalties
We all expected to piss it and no doubt the players also thought it would be a piece of piss given who the cowboys had out
Their first try wasn't and Ryan's was that would have taken it to the margin we all expected
Some baffling refereeing

and their halfback should have been marched after 15 minutes

Payne is rocketing up the spastic charts with a bullet, not seen in the Top 40 since Johnny Cronk arrived
I`m 100% with you on this one.

Tiger Nick, I agree with most of what you say, but there`s no way Travis Burns should of got sent off. He hit Tuiaki high, but it was accidental, a case of a little man trying to be aggressive in taking a much bigger man head on. The spear tackle was also accidental, again he is a much smaller man than Chris Lawrence and became unbalance when tacking him low at pace.
Fair is fair, the game is becoming far too soft when smaller men are going to be heavily penalised for being aggressive. Tom Raudonikas would have never been on the field if these rules applied when he was playing !

Vish if neither was a send off in its own right and that's a big if seeing what cuthbertson was marched for, then the fact that the 2nd one happened after the first should have meant the grub cutie sat in the stands. He's always been ****ing turd of a player. Dirtier and more of a cheap shot merchant than that steve carter ****ing prick at penriff

He is a dirty player, good on him, he`s a little bloke who plays the game tough, should be more of it. We have Wayde Dunley who is similar to his brother Shane except Wayde has a lot more skill. He is similar in the fact that he`s a little man who plays the game tough and it will carry him a long, long way in the game, don`t worry about that !

Tom Raudonikas was a thug not a footballer.
