I've worked as an audio operator for the Sharks home games for a few years now; tonight was one of the best performances I've ever seen them do. Congratulations to the team & coaching staff; the game plan looked simple but effective. The forwards were just awesome & Gall deserves a medal. I had a ball hearing our two fanatical shark fans who are also our ground announcers rev the punters up. Glenn Wheeler (from 2GB) & Clinton Maynard (from 2UE) did a great job!!! One question to those that were at the ground; we played one verse of the team song at half time. Is that something you would like to hear happen more often?

:) Good to see there's some decent sportsmanship.

Question. Who was MOTM?
Tough question; I was at the game but as I work there Im not a good judge. I think the discipline Paul Gallen showed by not doing dumb offloads, not baiting the refs etc & leading by example was probably an inspiration for the whole team.

Thanks for that. What I dont understand is that quite a few teams have their team songs that they play as they run onto the field. With the Sharks, the team song is only played if they win. Dont really understand the logic. Shouldnt the purpose of a team song be to the rev up the team & punters before & during a game?

What pissed me off was no presentation in the club.

Farkin joke.
Being a monday night i suppose it was thought that most punters would prefer to go home. Despite the win, I doubt there would have been very many at an after game presentation on a monday night.

There were plenty walking up when I informed them. Quite a number of disappointed fans.

To be fair, yes it was a Monday night - and they probably thought we wouldn't win. But it was the local derby.

I wish we would wear this members jersey every week...it sh*ts all over our normal jersey imo

I completely agree. It looked great on the field. It was modern, but traditional.

All - congrats. You out Dragoned the Dragons and thoroughly deserved to win. Outplayed us in every facet of the game and simply wanted it more. I haven't seen us get absolutely physically mugged like that on more than 2 occasions over the last few seasons.

Some thoughts -

Your boys - Excellent. 33 / 39 completions. Physical. Kelly is going to be a player I reckon. Gardner is a little gun too. Your forwards as a whole were just brilliant. I miss Jezza. Need to do it again against Penrith on a short turnaround.

My boys - reality check in being the defending premiers. Thought we could just coast and played witha touch of big headedness. That should be well and truly bashed out us after last night. Injuries. Tough schedule. Testing times coming up over the next month.

I went to bed last night thinking how good RCB's trip would have been. The underdog in a car full of what I am certain were very humbled mates. The King of evening for sure. I remember beating Manly at Kogarah in 07 when we were coming last and they were first. Didn't care where we finished that season after that.

Good luck for the rest of the year.
