But we don't have a squad of 25, we have a squad of 35: http://www.parraeels.com.au/default.aspx?s=profile-player

See? Thirty-five faces. The NRL might demand they be separated into two tiers for administrative purposes, but on the ground they're all part of the same squad. Being in the second tier group doesn't make them any less likely to play first grade - look at Kenny Sio.

Well even if we're talking about top 35 there's only really Barba and Smith who can play in those positions. Barba is way to small for first grade and Smith hasn't played first grade either so the lack of depth in those positions is still a major concern whether we have full time squad of 25 or 35.

It's nothing to do with saving face mate, he will continue to play him for the same reason he signed him - because he believes he can play.

Personally I don't think Keating's shit either. He's not a playmaker but he doesn't need to be.

mate Keating is a bloody good defensive player but gee he is slow with feeding the ball from dummy half. he tends to look around alot more than other 9's and when he picks it up he ends up passing it and either roberts or sandow has players all over them with no room...

that's my only gripe with MK and unfortunatly it's a big part of a hookers game that he needs to get quick ball to his player makers

Agree, he is a great little defender but way to slow out of dummy half imo. As you say its a big part of a hookers game. I suppose its possible that a lack of organisation is putting him in two minds slowing down his decision making out of half, but i doubt it.

I reckon that's exactly what's happening. I posted it a couple of weks ago.

He was never hesitant back when every merkin wanted the ball and it didn't matter who it went to.

This is very true 09 proves it hopefully when hayne is back and his desire to get the ball lets mk play a better game. He's a parts junior and even though I dislike him to a degree It would be sad to see another junior poached

If Matt Keating was a bit bigger he would be an ideal workaholic backrower type like Fensom. Unforunately he is not bigger enough for that sort of role so that point is moot and it is unfortunate cause he is an absolute ordinary dummy half.

Question when McGuire comes on and mk is still on where are they playing. McGuire at 9 and keating in at lock?

Obviously very unlikely, But rumors persist of a big rift between senior players at the Tigers. Could possibly be Farah, if he was to become unsettled we should get on the phone to his manager and put an offer in straight away. He would be awesome for us. Sadly though, massive long shot.

down really need to spend big bucks on a hooker. Plenty of halves in the lower levels who will never make it in the halves but could excel at hooker.

Also Keating is ok the for first 20 we just need a "livewire" to come on after the first 20.

I would actually be chasing Kris Keating - will make a good hooker, would be cheap and provides back up for the halves.
