So everyone’s just ignoring the fact that he sent a captain to the bin for talking to him? Last time I checked the captain is allowed to question the refs
This is what you want:
Referee: "excuse me, Mr Smith? May I penalise your fullback for kicking someone in the face?"

Yes. Captains can talk to the ref. They can't constantly blather at them.

Will they continue to do this?
What if they say next penalty is a binning and then 10 or 15 minutes later the next penalty comes? (Which is very unlikely going off this years games)

If the general application of the sin bin is used when repeat infringements of a similar nature have occurred, which have drawn a warning from the referee, then it shouldn’t matter if it’s one minute or ten.

If the referees get consistent with the warnings then a player being binned after that is fair enough.

I’d have no issue if a captain was warned and then the next infringement sent a player to the bin. It’s about teams respecting the officials position on the field.

Back chat or dissent should have tougher consequences, especially after a string of penalties.

Eventually the pressure will result in teams doing the small things right.

Remember when Milford milked a penalty and Cam Smith said to Klein “Where’s his chest? Do the maths”.

Got marched ten.

I think that was 2016 or so.

Yeah but matt cecchin sin binned lewis for hardly anything. I cant appreciate him as whole, although he is +100 points for sin-binning smith

If by hardly anything you mean sticking his hand out to try and tackle someone taking a quick tap after giving a penalty. Deserves the sin bin for stupidity alone.

Players need to learn to play by the rules. The wanted their pay linked to revenue. Well play by the rules or the fans will switch off.

Yes in a polite and professional manner and no verbal abuse.
If you can read lips watch the footage of Smith talking to Chechin
