Up till the game got away from us , Matt Feagai, on top of last week, looked so much better. We have seen a few youngsters but Matt would have to be one of the best improvers.
He was doing very well until he set up CT to go over the sideline.
After that he was as average as the rest of them.

He'll be great depth going forward.

He's got another year on his deal. He is a a centre all day, every day. Looks half the player on the wing.
I agree, but i also dont mind the looks of a left edge of Leilua, Suli and Feagai in '26. Then the right edge of Su'a, Holmes and CT. With Egan coming off the bench to terrorise one edge or the other. Just looking at that makes me realise what we've missed out on this season. We haven't had close to any of that strike power available.

Agreed Feagai looks to have some attacking skills and decent speed. I would go the other way though with Egan on the edge and Leilua coming off the bench.

I think with our squad at full fitness... Egan is our left 2nd rower, he is an 80min endurance man who will do all the stuff noone else wants to.. defensively solid.. does his job.. bloke has only had 8 1st grade games though.. unlikely he lasts the year.

Leilua although absolute x-factor in attack, is always a risk in defence.... maybe he slims down further and improves his fitness... but I think its more important for Flanno that we have defensive rocks across the park.. its the chinks in the armour that sink us..... I think Leilua is the perfect impact bench player to cover middle and an edge.. but I think he and Nick and Halangahu will fight it out for the #17 jersey... all of them are in that category...

This assume no injuries....

Fegai is one of our 4 centres for 26 I assume (Val,Suli, and Bucky), but not sure he starts without injuries.

i also agree with Rev he is an out and out centre, not a winger (though he can play if absolutely needed). I’d prefer to push Val to the wing and have mat at centre tbh.

Snow, throwing val to wing and leaving mat at centre at least strengthens the team imo but I hope we can sign another winger centre fullback to help the attack.
We just need to get rid of all the deadwood to allow new signings

He looks a touch quicker as well. Or maybe that everyone is comparatively slower to previous years.. in any case he’s playing good

His game certainly seems to have gone up a level recently.

He's getting much more involved and playing with more effort.

It's good to see. I hope this trend continues.

He's becoming a handy back up...

Feagai - 6 games - 4 tries, 1 Try assist, 24 Tackle Breaks and 5 Line Breaks.
Suli - 20 games - 1 try, 8 Try assists, 78 Tackle Breaks and 2 Line Breaks.
Val Holmes - 14 games - 6 tries, 9 try assist, 49 tackle breaks, 9 Line Breaks.

Feagai is 2nd in line breaks and tries which are 2 key stats. Not bad for a guy with limited game time compared to the other 2.

Flano has said publicly (a couple times) Matt is a NRL player

we need a balance of value players in amongst a couple more elite players

Is his contract up or something?
