Matt Henjak a Stormer?

On the Footy Show last nite that Weidler prick came up with some story about "disgraced" Wallaby Matt Henjak and that the Storm have apparently made enquiries about him. I know he has signed with the Western Farce next year but some interest has been express by the club in him if he becomes quote "disillusioned" with rugby union...

I'm not sure what to make of this Weidler guy, hes had a couple of scoops so far this year that have turned out to be true (eg Anasta ---> Roosters).

I can't see us getting him but when you think about it...why not? The guy would certainly be an investment. Hes been understudy to Gregan at the Brumbies AND the Wallabies and is not a bad young talent from what I've seen. Personally I dont think he'd defect from the punt monkeys and we've already got Cronk, Aubusson and I keep hearing abot the talent in the halves at Brisbane Norths...

I don't want to shatter any illusions about Melbourne young guns, but if you're relying on Cronk or Aubusson to be the next Orford - you'll be waiting a long time. That's not to say Henjak is the answer - but he'd definitely be worth looking at.

when orford first came to storm he was no better then what cronk is at the moment.

Absolute crap. When Orford came to the Storm from the Eagles he already had big wraps on him and was leading around a very ordinary Northern Eagles' side. He only left because the management thought they could get a quick fix with Kimmo.

Is that why we missed the finals for the first two years he was at melbourne. He was very ordinary when he first came, he is a very arrogant player that im actually glad to see leave the club.

when orford came to melbourne he was just a regular halfback..... he definately wasnt one of the top 3 halfbacks going around. Give cronk a couple of seasons then see if he is any good. you are not a storm fan and you cant have the same interest in them as we do. All us storm fans knew that orford wasnt outstanding when he came here.

Ever actually spoken to the bloke... I have to say I've seen no real arrogance there

Many of Cronk's former teammates at the Australian Schoolboys went on to be Wallabies, this guy just needs some time in the pre-season. I can see him leading the team on the field. One of Storm's future leaders.
