He should never have been registered, but people need to understand that the victims lawyer is going through the media because they either believe it's a quicker & cheaper way to pressure Lodge to commit to paying off the compensation than going through Australian court proceedings, or because they don't feel they would be successful getting the judgment recognised in an Australian court.
They want to be paid, understandably, but don't buy the 'role model for Australian children' crap, if he was paying them from a million dollar contract they wouldn't give two shits about Australian children, as they have said previously, "they don't want him to not be allowed to play rugby". It's about money, let's call it for what it is, which should also make people not blindly accept that "he hasn't apologised", or made any effort to pay them compensation. He shouldn't have been registered, no doubt, but that shouldn't stop the media from basic balanced reporting, it doesn't make Lodge look any less of a grub, but it gives more credibility to the story.
