The disgraceful thing from this is not Matty Moylan going a bender.

Only two or so people knew of the punishment to be handed down but the BETTING HOUSES changed the market and the Panthers blew harder than Matty Moylan into a breathalyser that morning before going to the press to release the information to the public.

The BETTING HOUSES had inside information from the source.

Some poor punter dropped $10,000 on the Panthers at $1.25 that morning when they knew.

Hang on, you said the betting agencies knew and the Panthers blew out because they heard before it was announced.

How do you know the timing of when they found out and then when the idiot dropped $10k?

If they were holding off because they had a "gut feeling" someone would drop $10k, then what was to stop someone from dropping $10k on Souffs at the juicy odds they would have been at because the Panthers were still so short?

No punters knew Nice Beaver. Bookies got the info before the public and they took bets and changed the market before the official press release.

Can't call the punter an idiot. He was betting on the info he had. $10K is not an unusual bet, trust me.

NRL integrity unit should be warranting Gould's and Griffin's phones and raiding the Panther's offices.

So my point is - what was to stop someone from putting $10k on the Rabbits at the higher odds, before they wound out the Panthers and shortened up the Rabbits?

You can't have it both ways.

Word on the street from a firm source was that they took the bet with the known information. Of course the punter would have unloaded on the Rabbits if he knew and the odds where higher.

Would love you to organize our pub crawl Matty Moylan.

That looks a beaut.

Should get Jenno around for a cold one too. Re-live old times.
