Maybe it's time.........

As much as Nathan Hindmarsh has done for us over the years, I think it's time for Nath to do the honourable thing and hang up the boots. For years Nathan has been the rock for our team, making those blockbusting runs, making those last ditch effort tackles on attackers about to score, he has been an immortal for us.

But over the period of last year and this year, it is very apparent that he really isn't being as effective as he could be anymore. His attack isn't as penetrating as it used to be, his punishing defence isn't as it used to be as the majority of the tackles he gets credited for is mainly 2nd or 3rd man in finishing off the tackle. He has become a passenger and isn't giving us as much as we need for him to make a mark on every game.

It would be a tremendous shame if we were to leave him out of our team seeing as he has been such a talisman of our club. Maybe it would be best if at the end of this season, he wraps up the awesome career he has forged before it is tarnished even more.

You will always be an Eels legend Nathan. I don't want to remember you as the passenger you are now compared to the gladiator you used to be.

He ran for 127m and made 51 tackles tonight. Only Timmy Mannah (130) and Mitchell Allgood (128) ran for more. He still makes more try saving tackles than anyone else in the team. What more do you want?

The finger should be more pointed at Horo/Lasalo and Matuia who are the wide running back rowers

Another forward had a dig? Being a bit harsh on Mannah and Allgood who were both great.

for the love of god, give us a break from this Hindy must retire crap! I for one hopes he re-signs for 2 more seasons, and the rest of the team stop being passengers and get there bums into gear show some crack and win Hindy that premiership he so richly deserves.

Yeah Hindmarsh is sh*t should retire, hopefully next time he makes 200m and 85 tackles or Kearney should drop him.

What more do you expect of the man? There a plenty of younger players that I would prefer out of the team before I gave up a 100+ metre 50+ tackle player.

Hindmarsh was by far and away our best player tonight. You must have been watching a different game.

Yeah, we'll both of them have got a hell of a long way to go before they can even step in Hindy's shadow mate, that being my point of the goose who wants him to retire, you obviously included.

And what's it with Souths fans invading this forum. They really must be bitter about Sandow leaving otherwise they wouldn't bother.

I don't want Hindy to retire, I'm hoping he re-signs he another year or two or however long he wants too, but to suggest that Mannah and Allgood weren't outstanding is just plain stupid.

I love Hindy as much as the next person, and he was great tonight, but Mannah was by far our best on field.

I thought Allgood was a shining light tonight and Mannah wasn't far behind. To be honest apart from one clanger I don't think Poore went to bad.
