However true it is (and it is true, KP is a prick), there is no reason for Strauss to be lazy enough to let a bomb like that go on air. He's going to get nailed for this and probably won't be back in the media and rightfully so. If you're going to be media facing you take on a certain responsibility.

I agree, for sure - but he does not have to apologise to Pieterson... he has to apologise to viewers that the heard the profanity - imo at least. Pieterson alreqady knows what Strauss thinks of him, and vice versa... yes, poor form, but my point is he should apologise to his employers and the viewers, but not Pieterson... FFS "KP, sorry I called you a merkin, you merkin"

I am ambivalent about whether he keeps his job - Warne still has media jobs, why not Strauss...

His employer most likely made him apologies to everyone so as not to leave any stone unturned. You can bet your bottom dollar complaints galore would have rocked up had he left out Pieterson in the apology
