He was born in Kempsey, he played his first game of Rugby League for Bowraville.

I'm not sure why that is so difficult for you to understand.

/facepalm.... Break it down for the tards.

Parents lived in Bowraville.
Born in Kempsey Hospital.
Grew up in said parents house is Bowraville.
Played Rugby League for Bowraville Tigers.
Went to Macksville High School.
Went to Hunter Sports High school, played football, some say senior.
Went back to Macksville for a bit, played football, some say senior for Macksville (Bowravilles senior side - Bowra registered juniors can play 18s and up for Macksville)
Ended up a Queenslander.

The End.

El D, i ask you of those two states you named, did the players come through the junior system in those respective states or were they products of the nsw or qld junior systems?

we've had 5 or 6 in recent years that played through the jnr WA league then picked up usually at 14 or 15 when starring in the affiliated States comp. Now we have our own SG ball team I expect we will keep them a year longer and then they will get signed by NRL clubs at 16 (until we have our own team of course!)

Great to hear, I realise my post might have sounded like i was being negative about it, but the more that happens the better the prospects of getting a team back in the NRL for W.A are, imagine the TV rights then!

Bowraville / Kempsey.. whatever. Guess Kempsey hospital might sue Bowraville over there claim to GI.. then once they win.. they might then disown GI themselves..

But they wont do that.. cos there not a nitpicking joke like bileduct

We are so keen to develop players from states outside of NSW and Qld, but what worries me is will these players, if they are good enough, be a chance at playing for the Kangaroos if they don't play in Origin? I don't want to see Vics or West Australians lining up in the Blues side (or the Maroons for that matter) because if they don't, they are a f**k all chance at ever wearing the green and gold. It's something the games' administrators have to consider in the very near future.

You had Timana Tahu in your Blues side. He was born in Melbourne.

Greg Inglis was born in Bowraville. I guess with your theory. SHow's that being born somewhere rally does mean squat.

And GI really is a Queenslander afterall.

Greg Inglis went to High School and played Football in NSW. Wallace didn't play any Footy in Victoria, as far as i know.

WA and the NT have no team yet both have players in NRL teams

so far 0 Victorians

f**k me you're harsh. The team started 12 years ago.

How many players do you expect the place to be creating?

There are now quite a few juniors playing the game from down there and their numbers will start to flow through, but seeing as anyone born in 1998 when the Storm started would now be 12 years old, I would hardly expect a side full of born and raised Victorians.

Until little more than a decade ago there were no teams there at all. We should be applauding the success rather than criticising based on some inane State rivalry.

Would we rather that Melbourne was exclusive to AFL and Football?

BTW in about 1500 days expect the Queenslanders to start complaining that NSW is getting all the prime Vic talent.
