Im curious as to what the Storm have provided their fans by way of package tours for the WCC to support their team , havent seen it mentioned anywhere, nothing on their forum or website as far as I could see.
WTs had a pretty good tour from memory- took in some EPL games/RL history at Hudds/ Scotland / Paris and all the usual tourist gigs etc.
Broncos was similar i think.
Will there be any Storm fans over there?

IMO the level of interest will not be strong enough for Storm fans to travel over to watch it...I hope Storm take it out big time.

Well after the last two years Melbourne have had, if they can't win it then no Australian team ever will!

They did do it in 2000, equal biggest win ever.

The tigers one was soo good from all reports that certain fans on the tour needed to be told to wash before they were allowed on the tour bus. One of whom can be seen when the tigers are on tv in wearing a mask and all ...

If any storm fans are going and the team is staying in Leeds I can recommend a night(s) out at Oceanic. Cracking nightclub

Seems that Souths have worked harder on their overseas trial match in Jacksonville with tours and packages than the Storm have done with their WCC match.

The sad part is when they hammer us about having the best club side in the world we can't argue even though we know their best sides couldn't make the 8 here.

There is a reason why Aussies and Kiwi's go there when they have had enough of our tough league.. it's easier and more money.

Jamie Lyon- Man of Steel

Enough said.

Thanks for the tip. Might have to hit it up with Bazza and NCL when I get up there.

You're an absolute knob. Saints and Leeds both would have put up a far greater effort than Manly at the end of the year.

their top 2-4 sides in any given year would compete for the 8 here.

No Club organised tour. Not even a third party tour losely aligned to the club.

This and regular round matches tours are a missed oportunity by the Storm imo.

Hmmm.....

I think the last time they brought it here because of that argument was in 1992 or 94..??

Wigan def Brisbane on brisbane's turf about 20-14...

Oh, and because nobody cares about the WCC game in Australia, I think about 50,000 turned up...

As an Aussie currently living in Leeds (their arent many of us trust me) but it should be a decent number at the game i know lots of aussies are coming down for the game from london . As for Oceanic niteclub have been here a year and never heard of it - but should be a huge night at the walkabout after the game

So expect a lot of Aussie expats at the game cheering home the storm but will be a great nite awesome people here in yorkshire

Tis a good city. I spent 7 weeks there working in 2002, and only met 1 other Aussie. I can't wait to get back up there from London.

I remember some people from Leeds I met whilst travelling talking about their favourite nightclub being shut down due to a drug bust. Maybe that is the one?

Oh poor us. We've been much the poorer over the past year.

I'll take whatever the 'franchise' has to dish up over what sh*tcastle and it's mob of incompetent bunnies run with.
