I hope the administrators at the warriors are going to appeal against the result of the Warriors/Storm game. I posted this in the eels forum.

"They are still being allowed to field a team that breaches the rules of the NRL and must be made to cut their player group to bring them within the salary cap immediately, not next year. They may not be accruing any points but they still have the potential to rob other teams of their points by fielding an illegal squad. Any team who gets beaten by the storm this year should be getting their lawyers to look at it because they have strong legal grounds to appeal and have the result of the game overturned."

I urge all clubs to protest against still having to play a team that does not conform to the rules of the NRL.

We got beaten not because they had a salary cap rorted side, but because we were straight out hopeless. It's fair across the board, everyone has to play them, but irrespective of it all really, it doesn't matter who we played last night with the way we kept dropping the ball, had no structure, had no mongrel in defence, seemed demotivated beyond belief, we would have been lapped. We don't deserve any competition points from it.

You could say that we are lucky to play the Storm last night as we turned in a performance that would have seen us soundly beaten by most teams and we are fortunate that no team benefited from our performance by advancing 2 points higher on the ladder

Accept it and move on. It's a big enough mess without that bullsh*t as well.

Exactly right Skinner. If anything, I was happy to see 23,000 there for them. If they can work with News Limited to find 2-3 major sponsors then I think they'll be sweet, which is overall good for the strategic direction of the game.

They played well, we played poorly. Such is life.

I would feel the same as the Warriors fans here.
Trying to claim 2 points from that is no different from the crap we hear about Eels/Sea Eagles (not really Sea Eagles anymore) fans wanting their lost premierships.

We were on a hiding to nothing, i dont think any team would of come close to the Storm that night, Manly and Dragons would of copt it as well. They had pure emotion and that would of wiped out any team. Lets hope we smoke them in the return match and get really physical and in their faces

one of the things that crossed the vast expanse of my mind last night was, when Cross (I think it was ) was put on report, so what ?

The whole Storm team could be put on report and it would mean sfa.

Except rep spots.

But yeah, I agree with the sentiment. It's really time to let this go. They've been punished, the punishment is about as extreme as you can get and it's reasonably fair for the other 15 clubs. Lets get on with it and play footy.

Meh, cheats or not, we got dicked cos we sucked Sunday night, pure and simple. Can't avoid that fact, and it's denial to suggest anything else. Storm did play well, for their fans, so good on 'em for that.
Get the feeling they've got way more issues yet to come out, so for our part, it's over. We just need to move on and focus about getting the act together rather than protest about the Storm. They still have a bit to face so leave 'em to it.
...For example, a couple of players will need to explain how they signed a couple of contracts in quick succession without noticing, and why they had new boats suddenly turn up and Pak n save vouchers for 500,000 odd in the mail didn't raise eyebrows for them! ;-)

So if a team beats the Storm, do they get 4 points on the ladder, instead of two?

Of course not.

Don't be silly.
