I thought the fulltime score was 38-18.....
Anyways all played well. Parra were trying different combinations, players were playing different positions all game.
Delaney had a go at 5/8 for most the game but did go to centre at one point, he also did some goalkicking
Tim played a really great game, as did Ben Smith.

Melb pretty much played where they were, Slater and Cronk killed it! Awesome play from those 2, Inglis was solid too.

I'm not much of a game updater... I'm sure Twizz or Noyd will have more of a report.

Oh and thanks WC for sitting by the computer waiting for the SMS's to come trhough, even though some were few and far between and you had to field lots of questions you didn't know the answers to! Well done

If so many people played great for the Eels why did they lose by a substantial margin? Were some of the people terrible?

I dont think there were many eels players who played great... We were definately outplayed by Melb. I would say there were a few players on the field for parra who were more than flat and although it was a trial need to lift a bit more to have a succesful season

Because it was a TRIAL game.
People played out of the norm and they swapped players every 20mins.
Our young kids all had a go at playing that have not played in the top grade before

Melb did not make as many changes and Slater, Geyer and Cronk were on FIRE.

melbourne clearly aren't aware of the "keep a low profile in the pre-season" tactics

and with all due respect to them, why not??
If that is how they wish to prepare the start of their season then they can go for it!

We chose to prepare ours differently.

and if they field a similar team next week I think Melb will beat us again
