maybe those preaching that if you are dissatisfied with the board the best way to rectify it, is become a member and vote (albeit you have to wait 3 years) are gaining traction.
i agree its like americans who moan about the government and taxes but come election day when they have actually have a chance to do something about it they cant be bothered voting

What a f**king joke. 12 months later and they still can't get it right. Charging every ticket to the CC individually!! What an absolute disgrace and i'm sure it's going to create nightmares once again for whatever staff is left working at the club.

so what's the problem if they charge every ticket individually? I don't see why it's an issue, and if that's the way you react no wonder you have problems dealing with "normal" people.

Were you charged the correct total amount? Or have they overcharged you? If they have, sort it out. If they haven't, what's the problem?

The problem is the inconvenience.

You log into the Membership Registration Portal. Select to renew, then select all of your tickets and hit renew and only the first one works.

Then you have to call the 1300 number to get the others sorted.

Otherwise you can go select one Membership and renew. Then go back and select another one and renew it then select another and renew and so on. Some of our members have up to 8 memberships. Now each renewal needs to have the Credit Card information re-entered each time. Which is an inconvenience.

Thanks Mark, at least someone gets the point.

If you try to charge the same amount multiple times at once that's recognised as either a processing error or an attempt at fraudulent charges. So only the first ticket is charged the the others fail.

It happened to me last year, and i'm sure it happen to a great number of other people who purchased their memberships via the net. You would think that 12 months later the issue would have been addressed, but no. So now i've got to call up the club to get it resolved again.

How hard is it to implement an online purchasing system that has a shopping cart/basket to charge total amounts in one transaction....

I never had that problem myself, but I am trying to get extra seats for my daughters next to my originals and i also ticked part payment. I did notice the payment didn't register properly on the screen but the receipt said all was ok. The first part payment has been applied to my CC.

I spoke with Ossie about it on the Thursday that Renewals were opened and Mark the head of marketing at the Parramatta Town Hall Launch for the membership campaign. Both tell me that the error is actually to do with the NRL's CRM system which Parramatta use for its memberships. The NRL are saying it is a Bank processing Error that will only allow one transaction at a time.

For the other replies, I beleive it is only when you select to pay the entire amount of your tickets in one go and that the total is over $500. But I might be wrong on the figure.

My $900 renewal was knocked back, and only had 1 ticket registered. The other 2 were set as failures. I have spoken to 1300BLUEGOLD about the problem and they said they would be manually updating them to fix the issue. The fix they apply is to then process my other tickets as Part payments. So now I have paid for 1 full membership and 2 half memberships and I have to wait till January to pay for the next 2 half memberships. I had the money in the credit card, and as for the past few years I was ready to pay for my Memberships / Season Tickets as soon as they were available.

yeah sounds like a pain in the backside, but surely you could pay by CC over the phone and not have the problem?

Yeah but surely a working web portal would help the club, in not needing to call or what ever. Now this portal instead of taking load off the club, is putting more on it because of the way it functions.

As H0WZAT said this is the 2nd year in a row it has done the same thing.

Mark is the club being pro-active in resolving these errors or do I still need to give them a call?

It must not be very hard , I renewed multiple memberships online without any dramas at all. And they were charged as one transaction on my CC

.

I selected all of my tickets, hit renew and they all worked first time. No inconvenience at all.

I actually got a call earlier this afternoon from one of the girls to confirm my CC details and fix the error. I was shocked, but pleased they are being pro-active about it.

beagle as Mark said it supposedly only occurs for transactions over $500, if yours was and it didn't happen then good luck to you then. I know what happen, twice now, and there was nothing I did wrong or could do otherwise to prevent it from happening.

The transaction was over $500. Same when I renewed for the season that just finished, no problems there either
