Balls!! If the Reds stayed it would have been Souths out back then.

I am all for a Perth team (and Adelaide) but not at the Rabbitohs expense and I am sure many teams supporters feel the same. That's the problem.

Perth has a great opportunity with the JBC to prove they want a team. If the crowds don't turn up then they have only themselves to blame.

None mate. I know that but what I am saying is that they should have better support than the other JBC teams (they may well have I don't know). They chose the wrong side in SL and have paid the price.

They are a shoe in for 2012 and rightly so....I just mean if things go wrong they have only themselves to blame (whcih incidentally I think it will all be fine).

I just hope they aren't used as a stick to kick out Souths...again.

My Dream Table - 20 teams - home and away season...top eight finals system ....like I said DREAMING!!

South Sydney Rabbitohs
Adelaide Rams
WA Reds
Auckland Warriors
Wellington Orcas
Manly Sea Eagles
Cronulla Sharks
Melbourne Storm
St. Gill Dragons
GC Titans
Brissy Broncos
Para Eels
Penriff
Newcastle
Canberra
Tigers
Bulldogs
Cowboys
Central Coast Bears
Easts

had clubs like perth not stabbed the ARL in the back and gone to Super League, theyd still be around today.

i think the nrl must go to perth, but not the the expense of a sydney team

Yes, just like the Gold Coast Chargers and the Crushers

typical SL fan.

when the 2 sides made peace, there was never going to be a 2nd nrl side in brisbane.

news ltd wanted to protect the monopoly profits of the broncos so another case where the good of RL became 2nd to super greed.

Yes Chandos, I was old enough to remember what happen and I don’t have to pretend I’m 38 years old

That is bullsh*t. The Crushers were gone before any agreement was reached

That is bullsh*t as well. The Chargers were sacrificed by the ARL at the same the Rams were cut by News Ltd, to ease the pressure on mergers with Sydney clubs

After reading the comments on this old Western Reds site, it made me sad about what was about to happen. All for the sake of saving Sydney!

You had me until this point, are you serious. Perth is nothing more than an ingrown hair on the ass of RL. Perth was not ready, and still is not ready to support a RL team long term. You need more than a few thousand people saying yeah we want a side.

The most saddening thing about that URL link was this bit below:

Will there be a single rugby league competition in Australia next year?
Will the Perth Reds be playing next season?

11 - Yes to single comp, Yes to Reds survival
8 - No to single comp, Yes to Reds survival
3 - Yes to single comp, No to Reds survival
1 - No to single comp, No to Reds survival

The fact that the majority thought the Reds would survive was sad, when they were to find out that their team would be gone.:(

I dunno, if they could get 10k to a game, would be an improvment then some Sydney clubs atm, and im sure they would attract better sponsers to every team currently in the NRL, and the NRL in general.

Not to mention increasing every aspect of the game, revenue, juniors, Tv coverage ect.

Im struggling to see a bad side to this, there are more then enough players, with an extra 4 mill to increase payments to some english exports, and with the amount of interstate workers in mines ect more then enough money and supporters.

We carry on like a 18 year old stunner trying to choose who we are going to give that famous first bj to, when in fact we are a 100 year old whore, and although we still go off like a firecracker every friday night, we shouldnt be so picky when new areas are knocking on our door.
