This thread needs some clarity:
- When the Barba at 5/8 experiment failed what was the next solution? Play him at fullback, albeit in conjunction with Gordon and Holmes. Probably not ideal but it is what the coach calls.
- Gordon plays it out for a few weeks but it gives him the shytes and tells the coach so. The coach replies with "if you dont like it you can efff off". Gordon then sets out to find a new deal.
- Gordon finds a new deal but in the meantime two backs, Feki and Lutele get injured leaving a gaping hole in the Sharks backline.
- Club decides its not in their best interest to let a good player go that can cover the positions that have recently been lost to injury. Keep in mind that Gagan, who is a very good young player, has been out injured for most of the season with dodgy hammies, and is no guarantee to fill the position that Gordon is taking, winger.Out of who is available, who would you choose to play first grade, Gordon, Sauiluma, Gardner, Brown or Ayshford? Every sane person would choose Gordon.
- Gordon is not happy as with the deal he was getting included next year. Problem is he is signed to the Sharks until the end of this year and it is their prerogative to keep him at the club until his contract is finished. They are within their rights to do so.
