Whatever the case Smith's gotta get Witt back in first grade ASAP. Our halves are struggling and Dykes is not a halfback. Witt will stay, but if he goes, Parramatta's in deep trouble. :x

Why does Smith need to get him back in first grade asap?
Witt can't even hold his spot in PL at this stage.
And Dykes was close to our best (which i admit wasn't hard) last saturday. Dykes has trained the best and played the best in trials.

And why would Parra be in "deep trouble" if he left. Dykes would be fine for the next couple of years if he stays fit, and Tim Smith is only about 18 months younger than Witt and a junior kangeroo.

And given Dykes' injury problems for the last six years, that's a very big if.

I'm no player manager but I'll try and do a quick deal. You guys can have Brad Drew back and we'll take Witt.

Dykes is a good player, but like I said he's not a halfback, unless Smith puts someone decent at 5/8, the halves combo is gonna struggle for a bit. Witt must be there, he's probably got the sh*tts because he didnt play in the trials and Wagon's at 5/8. At least on the bench in first grade.

I mean "deep trouble" because we always let our good talent for usless rejects and it just gets worse now. There are a few problems with Parramatta and Fitzgerald is denying, which I cant understand why.

I like a Morris/Witt combination best in the halves. They won quite a few games with that last year.

Like him or not, Fitzgerald is too shrewd for that.

Is he shrewd enough to take Brian Smith out of recruitment?

Marsh, Tookey, Hindmarsh, Jason Cayless, Drew, Mogg, Hodgson, Richards, Dunley, Heckenberg, Donald, Tonga.

Marsh has since played Origin, Tookey went close, Hindmarsh has played well for Canberra, Jason Cayless is a Kiwi rep now, Drew carves teams up at times, Mogg is capable enough, Hodgson is a smart buy for the Tigers, Richards is capable when injury free, Dunley is exactly the type of player the Eels need with a big pack, Heckenberg was outstanding for the Eagles and Donald - well 20 odd tries last year what more can you say?

I can't believe he is on the bench for Premier League. He went good last year and in Virtual NRL he is valued at $500,000!! Haha.
