I think it would be interesting to occasionally see some touch footy as the halftime entertainment. Not the U9's but players with some skill. Would be good promotion for local teams too.

Do they have a national touch footy championship? Maybe the final could be on GF morning at ANZ.

Sadly union in England has stolen it, I find it very amusing that they are running and promoting a version of RL.

The IRB is running with Sevens, a sport that is at best superficially similar to RU and will likely kill their code and ours in the long run if it's an Olympic success.

It's probably time to stop thinking that they actually care about the game that they are supposed to be running...

Met a bloke who plays Wheelchair rugby today.

Got thinking that the NRL should tie in with them too. Would possibly benefit wheelchair rugby more but that's a good thing isn't it?

It took me ages to figure out what was bugging be about this picture.

They have made this logo taller than the rest to fit everything in. (not the end of the world, but its just different enough to be annoying...)

This one went through to the keeper somewhat when it happened but the Rugby Football League has followed the lead of the NRL in merging with other variants of the sport. The RFL have bought back the farm by signing an agreement with Try Tag Rugby – something which should benefit both parties.
Given that most English kids grow up playing soccer, Phill Browne has done a great job recruiting huge numbers of men and women to play recreational tag in London.
That's outside league's heartland and the main factor driving the association is that Aussie-raised Phill is a complete RL tragic.

Only a matter of time before OzTag merges with the NRL I reckon.

Long term, i hope the IRLF can align themselves with all the national Touch bodies around the world for co-promotion.

Aligning the World Cups would be great, and getting Touch Football into the Commonwealth Games or even the Olympics, would just be amazing.

Unfortunately English touch is aligned with Union. The RFL has their own brand, 'touch rugby league' but they are not the body that competes internationally. The union group do.

Which is ridiculous considering touch is a non contact form of rugby league. How can we even let this happen?

The cognitive dissonance from Union fans is always hilarious when it comes to Touch Footy, especially when you hear them try to claim that playing a game with a play-the-ball, sets of six, etc isn't rugby league but is 100% rugby union...
