Middle 8s

The advantage of having clubs like Leeds and Warrington in the middle 8s is the big away support at the smaller championship clubs, like Batley, Fev, London or Halifax. In fact this is pretty much the best thing about the whole ridiculous structure.

Critical game next week, catalans at home to Leigh. Hoping to God that Catalans win that or they will have a very uncomfortable time ahead

Can easily see rovers coming top 3 as Catalans, Leigh and Widnes are poor.

If someone does get relegated this year and I would consider more likely than not, would the RFL feel vindicated and persist with the structure? To me it would only emphasise the need to go to straight up and down promotion and relegation.

Watching last nights game makes me realise how sloooooow NRL games are in comparison to English games.

Not sure it's that ridiculous, every week feels like a cup final for the promotion hopeful club fans!

Isn't it good for the champion teams to at least get some games against these types of clubs to test themselves and see the standard they need to get to. And frankly if they are finishing 9th or 10th then they can put up with some games against lower league teams instead to of going through the motions for another month or two

London hit another hurdle by drawing with Fev. Just made their task a lot harder in a week where HKR beat a SL team.

They're f**ked. As if they were a real hope anyway. They'll have to rely on results going their way and beat two SL teams or at least Rovers and a SL team.

They're capable of beating Widnes, Leigh, Rovers.
Unlucky to get the 2 points against Catalans and again this week, but there's only so many times you can get unlucky in this comp and still be in the hunt. Need to take a big scalp and can't afford to drop another gimme.

oh dear catalans, bad loss they could not afford. Between this mob and the warriors i don't know who is more inconsistent or a bigger let down

They simply must beat Fev and halifax and then hope to knock off one of Widnes or Rovers to sneak 4th or 5th at this stage

If they do go down it could be an interesting championship in 2018 with the prospect of Toronto, Catalans and Toulouse! All of whom should be in super league for the sake of expansion!

Next year we will complete our long held vision for Superleague:
London, two French clubs & Toronto

errr.. except this vision will be fulfilled in the Championship

At least Catalans got a win...
London again so close yet so far going down 40-38 (!!!) v Warrington.

For the expansionists the dream isn't dead but it's on life support.
HOWEVER
If Catalans win 3/3 and London win 3/3, we could see Catalans finish safe in 3rd and London play in the MPG
