Mighty pennies v the tigpies

The funny part is, their worst last night were their big name players considered too shit for rep. Talk about a bunch of tailcoat riders.
Kikau, that dickhead centre, that pussy winger, even tough guy Fish head...all useless without chinny Mcliar.
The night smug died a horrible death!

Smug running across the road at St Marys late at night until a drunken Madge with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth holding a half bottle of whiskey -boompf! sends it flying into a tree wondering what hit it.

Not sure why anyone is shocked that we were missing half our roster (basically our best players aswell) and we looked shit.

Especially after our reserve grade side has been suffering in form lately. Our bench was always going to be a huge mismatch. But our spine despite having NRL experience has not had much of that experience in the spine

Burton has played a handful of 6 but always with a more experienced half beside him. Mostly been a ball running centre
May hasnt been a half in years.. and even when he was a half it was not really a genuine half where he controlled a game.
Kenny has the most experience in his position out of the fill ins, but was still only ever a solid half who did little to add to the attack. Needing him to step up he just didn't have a higher level in him

I think we have guys who can fill in a couple spots and not lose much. But not close to the talent to replace 8x rep quality options. Fish tried to step up from the forwards, but he was already our best forward so he's barely adding more than he did which just can't compensate for what we lost. Kikau unfortunately didnt step up whatsoever and the other backrowers were even worse than him. But they're only depth players. He's supposed to be international quality but when our team isn't dominating we see just how little he has been doing.

This is why the ignore button exists... for schoolkids that steal mummy and daddy's wifi password

They'll fade soon enough, just happy they won a game and think it means anything when if anything Panthers get more out of it learning valuable coaching lessons and our depth gaining a little play time as well.

So very true. I believe the players and coaching staffs would have learnt some huge lessons from last night.

Hopefully Api and Leota will be up for a good game. I think many of the players will rip in next week and next game after the loss and how much it hurts.

Great win by our NSW Cup team today and very much an upset result. After last night there has been a lot of criticism on here of a number of our players, in particular Tyrone May? I have seen some even suggestping we replace May with Kurt Falls or Brendan Hands. Falls is a steady, guide the side around no frills half back with a decent kicking game he was his usual solid self tonight without standing out. I’m not sure how much time Brendan Hands has spent in the halves this season, he seems to have been utility off the bench for the most part. He scored a fine individual try today from a dummy half scoot.

MOM for me was without doubt Billy Tsikrikas he just puts in 110% every week. Played over 70 minutes before coming off just near the end. Eddie Blacker played more minutes than I have seen from him previously, he started played almost half an hour and came in for last 15 or so. He set up our third try, hit the line hard got an arm free and popped a great ball to Peru who just had to catch and fall over the line. He is a big body, just looks a little cumbersome, but was ok today.

Naden played fullback, not sure of the logic behind this, but he was pretty good, he was busy, really tried to inject himself in attack as much as possible and threatened on numerous occasions without delivering a try or assist.

Daine Laurie was in attendance lapping up the adulation. He had a long chat with Naden after the game.

I honestly believe even 2 players would have made a big difference last night. Leota to give the forwards more punch, and the experience and quickness of Api, both running and service would have possibly given us the win and if not - would have made the game far closer.

Another 2 would have also been huge - To'o to get our sets going and Luai would have given us a far better Halves combo and kicking game. 8 Players was just a bridge too far.

Still disappointed at how many of our more experienced players and so called 'stars' just failed to stand up.

I went to Lidcombe Oval today, one because I had nothing else to do but also wanted to have a first look at Ativalu Lisati the kid we brought down from Ipswich a couple of years ago that had huge wraps on him. He played on the right edge and has a bit of size about him. He didn’t get too many opportunities in attack as we always seemed to go to the left which was the side Maverick Geyer was on. I left at half time when it was 16-12. I wasn‘t surprised to see the West Tigers went on with the job in the second half running out comfortable winners. Anyway, didn’t get to see Lisati in open space given he is supposed to be very quick. Hopefully he gets a few more games to see if he may have a future.

To'o's start to the sets would of been great.

I just think everyone underestimated the small things. Yeo basically plays 1st reciever which gives the backs space.

The pack was what disappointed me the most. There was no impact besides Fish
