this is the big thing about it all really. Thier GROWN men. they can vote, buy alcohol and cigarettes and make legally binding contracts. all this crap about them needing to be wrapped in cotton wool is bullshit. they need to be RESPONSIBLE for their actions instead of acting like dickheads and then blaming something else.

Mason, O'Meley, Wing, Gower, Waterhouse fined $3000 for going out after the team function.

Mason and Waterhouse fined $2000 for the public transport incident.

Mason fined $1000 for signing another players name

The supposed offensive drawing attributed to Mason which attracted so much media attention today on 2GB has been shown to the media and is simply non offensive doodling.

I allegedly heard on 2UE that apparently their alleged journalist claims the doodles are allegedly in ...

I`m not saying what happened should be deemmed acceptable,but it has been going on with footballers from day 1 as it does with European soccer players,American basketballers and just about any other sport where the participants have a high profile.Not to forget pop/rock stars and actors!

Well if Fox is right, Mini was there when Gasnier made the call so deserves to go and be suspended now by the roosters.

Minichiello was sacked for taking a mobile phone on a night out against team orders and for being with St George Illawarra star Mark Gasnier when he made an obscene phone call to a woman on Minichiello's phone, the NSW Rugby League announced tonight.

I agree (not that I have any kids yet), but unfortunately, it's going to happen. Anybody who has watched Big Brother would know that this attitude is not isolated to highly paid footballers. That's not meant to excuse their behaviour.

I would hope that if I have a daughter, that I could bring her up to know that not all footballers are arseholes, nor are all non-footballers angels. I would hope that she is able to weed out the arseholes, and go for the good guys. Not sure what the relevancy is, but thought I'd add my two cents

Saints have suspended Gasnier indefinitely. They would've given almost anything to have him out there tonite against the Eels.....they face the Broncos away rd. 12 next week.....I'm tipping Gas' suspension will amount to 1 match.
I imagine the Roosters will be watching what the dragons do re: Gasnier/suspension, very very closely....they have the Warriors at home rd. 12 then the Dogs away rd. 13 the following week.
What odds Mini misses 1 game for the Rorters? Cause I cant see Gas missing 2 for the dragons.
