What the hell did Minichello do wrong not to get the rep player and fullback of the year award. Tell the truth - who would you prefer as fullback? The awards are a farce..Minichello wins the award for the man of the series in SOO but can't
crack it for the rep player of the year. Is someone in love with Joey John's??

Never again shall I watch that bluudy award.....

Agreed. I'm a Souths supporter and Johns played in two SOO games. Minni was man of the series and also played for Australia.

Pfft, Mini was f**king awful in game one, and I was apalled when he got Man of the Series over the far better Matt King.

Johns won the series for NSW, end of story. Mini just finished well.

Whether it was Minni or not it shouldn't have been Johns.

Hodgson deserved Fullback of the year but Minichiello should have been rep player. Johns got the rep player of the year award as a consolation for not winning the Dally M.

Did I say it should have gone to Johns? No. I said it should've gone to Matt King, who was good in all three State of Origin games, not just the second two (and to be honest, Mini wasn't near as good as Joey in game two).

Fair enough.

Minichiello was player of the Tri Nations as well. he should have got it, but in the scheme of things it don't mean squat really. I'd rather have the accolades from my team mates. The Dally M's are a joke and have been for a long time.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the Dally Ms for the 2005 season? Last year's tri series doesn't really fall in either 2004 or 2005's Dally M figurings. It's something of an anomaly.

P.S. Mini in no way deserved player of the series from the tri series last year

freaking hell, did you actually watch game 1. mini was everywhere in defence and cleaning up kicks. if mini isnt there the qld would've lead by even more and i doubt the blues wouldve gotten anywhere near the maroons like we did.

Did you actually watch game 1? Minicello made 3 tackles the entire match. He missed 2 and made 4 errors. Hardly inspiring stuff.

1) Matt King
2) Andrew Johns
3) Nathan Hindmarsh

Were the players of the origin series. Matt King was robbed, and NSW wouldn't have won without Johns, can you say the same about Minicello?

Johns was clearly the best rep player of the year. If we had no Johs we would have lost the series. We would have coped with another fullback in Minni's place

Johns was far and away the best player on either side. King was on the next level with Hindmarsh and Minicello.

Did you actually watch the first game.

You can't always judge a performance on stat's alone. Mini was all over the place with King at the back they were run off their feet and stopped a heap of tries.

I too thought King was Man of the series but the point of this is that when mini played so well in a loosing team - get's tri series best player and SOO best player you would think that would be enough.

Stopping a heap of tries doesn't count for much if you're not scoring any.

In Origin I, NSW were finding it hard to set up an attacking raid in the first half due to the ability (of lack of) of Brett Kimmorely.

In Origin II & III Johns provided that attacking spark and the whole NSW team was feeding off it and it led us to great victories and a series win.

Sure Minichiello is a good FB and cleaned up at the back, but Hodgson or Hornby would have been able to do the same.

Noone could have replicated what Johns did

Stopping tries counts for nothing are you for real???????

Johns played outstanding in SOO II that's it!!!!!!!!!!!

And there was an award for that performance but rep player of the year I think not.........Mini dead set played every rep game and put in outstanding performances in all of them.

The Dally M's are a joke and I believe the players think the same
