A hypothetical
At this stage Manly are front of the storm on Differential
Manly +272 (for 611 ag 339)
Storm +264 (for 542 ag 278)
say next week Manly win by 8 and the Storm win by 16
so they both would finish on +280

who would be Minor premiers ? :-k

What about who beat who during the regular season?????? With the Storm doing the Eagles twice would/could/does it go that way???

Nope, because Manly would have beaten more other teams than Melbourne.

And? The two teams on top at the end would be Melb and Manly...and Melb beat them twice. This is not about beating the likes of the eels, dogs, cowboys or rabbits.

Manly shouldn't be punished because they had to play Melbourne twice when other teams didn't. Had they got to play a team other than Melbourne and won, they would've finished outright first. Unless everyone plays everyone twice, you can't do it that way.

Well Melbourne were punished during the 3 State of Origin games where they were missing ~10 players, while the Sea Eagles only had to do without Brett Stewart.

If they finished equal on F/A, Melbourne would be the deserving minor premiers IMO.

And melb should not be punished because they didnt get to play against more plebs than what manly did,

Whoever has the least amount of points conceded goes ahead.

Don't they use the percentage system first ie points for divided by points against - like in the AFL? If they don't , they should . it actually favours the better defensive side .

Anyway I'm pretty sure it goes something like:

1. Competition Points
2. F/A difference
3. F/A percentage
4. Tries scored
5. Goals scored
6. Field Goals scored
7. Toss of coin!

I believe that's right. The odd's of it getting to stages 4-7 are unlikely thought

Agree!
They should use a percentage scoring system

Bellamy's fault for picking the muppets.
