Taking the thread seriously for just a second:
I was fairly concerned about his batting, but looked it up, and he has averaged 44 at FC level since mid 2013. Basically the South African Aus A tour last year, through a season of shield cricket, Aus A again, then the 2 UAE tests.

It's a small sample size, but he's only 23, and there isn't much to go on in that regard. If he stays as a 40+ average batsman, then sure, he's a mainstay of the Aus team for 15 years. But needs to prove he is a genuine century maker on a regular basis (2 in the last year, but 2 for the career...)

His batting was always his strength as he came up, his bowling a bonus. His batting appears to be maturing as well.

He seems to be a decent player, just give him time to establish himself for now.
