all what pearce does is bomb and kick is predictable, he isnt going to be a match winner , and after 50 odd games in the nrl instead of improving he is going backwards, even his supporter phil gould acknowledge that.
Pearce is the only halfback in the comp what is declining the more he plays, if pearce doesnt improve in the first half of next year, then the roosters will be regretting wasting moneyon him

If i were the roosters i would be getting another half back ready during the off season, because i cant see pearce improving under smith.

Sorry but Over-overrated.
Put him in the Mullen category.

Neither had impressed as much as Mortimer.

C'mon Watatank, over Hornby? No bro.

I would take Pearce or Mullen at the Warriors in a heartbeat

Kid could be anything, obviously heavily influenced by Joey, probably more complete a player at this stage of his career too.

Definately think (with Carney gone, anyway) that he's the cream of the young halves going around.

Mortimer is playing great in the role assigned to him within Parra

Would he fit in with any other team's structure atm? i don't think so, unless all teams start offloading 30 times plus a game..

I would take Pearce as Saints. Pearce & Soward could work wonders together under the guidance of Bennett.

In fact this 1,6,7,9 combo would be very nice....

B Morris
Soward
Pearce
Hornby / .Fien

Put Boyd in the centres

Mullen still seems to go missing for mine on the big stage.

Pearce... Meh. Stylish maybe. Keen sure but no punch. Mortimer's half his size and has the balls to take the line on.

Mortimer was outstanding in the semis. Brilliant against the Dogs in the prelim.

That said would be very pleased with Thommo's spine.

Hornby could be a revelation out of dummy half.

Any halfback would have looked horrible the way the Roosters performed this year. He's still got the goods, hang onto him. If he was playing behind a decent pack instead of over-rated nuffies then he'll show what he's capable of.
