He has been solely blamed repeatedly for origin losses
Feel free to throw it in everyones face the day he wins a series.

I'm confident that will never happen. How confident are you that he will ever win a series?

No Matt Scott. No Greg Inglis. No Johnathon Thurston... its the weakest Queensland side in years. Its the easiest it will get for him.

Im quite confident he will win one as he will be there for years to come.

We would be saying the same thing about every NSW player since 2005 if cronk wasn't injured in 2014 which you know to be true.

QLD is the greatest side ever until Pearce is mentioned at which stage it becomes solely his fault that NSW hasn't won more often.

As for this year, look at the team picked around him. At least Pearce form is adequate and no other half is knocking the door down, you can't say that for a lot of the other positions.

He has been there for 6 series and won none... why would that change if he plays 6 more?

You're a bigger sook than adamkungl when it comes to Pearce. Good club player, proven dud at SOO level. Can't wait for my favourite 'soft forwards' defence where Roosters fans act like NSW have never had a set in QLD's 20m zone.

Can't think of a NSW halfback who is playing better than Pearce at the moment. I've got no issue with his selection this year.

Let me think about that

1. QLD 3 future immortals are starting to slow down as well as their top tier supporting cast
2. Mitchell is a better player than previous years.

I would have no problem with Mitchell being left out if someone else was knocking the door down but there just isn't.

This year he looks to be om a hiding to nothing as there are far more questionable selections than his own.

Laurie is hedging his bets . . . Pearce is even money to do well but a sure f**king thing as a scapegoat if need be

Daley cant pick Pearce and then use him as a scapegoat. He picked a proven failure. By choice.

If he wanted a scapegoat you go with someone inexperienced and then claim to be building for the future.

Adam Reynolds last year for example. Although its not building for the future when you drop those newly developed guys and go back to what has never worked.

What choice did Laurie really have but to pick Pearce? The only other realistic option is to pick Moylan to partner Maloney.

I'm OK with the selection.

Adam Reynolds. He got a taste last year. He should be better in his second series.

Chad Townsend. Was solid for City and has a good club combination with Maloney... Pearce and his club partners kept getting picked.

Matt Moylan and James Maloney. Worked in Game 3 last year.

None of these guys are proven failures yet. Closest is Adam Reynolds with 2 losses from 2 games. But Pearce took 5 games to register a win... so his career could also go either way.

Pearce shits on those guys at club level. No doubt. But our only Origin series win in over a decade was with Josh Reynolds and Trent Hodkinson... and they are even worse again. Not having Pearce paired with having Hayne won us a series with shit halves.

This is the easiest Queensland team we are likely to face for some time. Last thing we need is to let Pearce f**k that up for us. He doesnt know how to win Origin games.

Has forced TWO line dropouts in FIFTEEN games. I knew he was an embarrassment at this level, but that is truly something else. This is still a quality Qld side, and NSW has ONE win in a live rubber in Brisbane in 12 years. One.
