It took just 26 minutes for Adam Mogg to realise and confirm what Australian rugby league fans and administrators have always boasted the NRL is hands down better than Europe's Super League.
Mogg became the first player to start a season in Super League and then play NRL in the same year, when he came on during the second half of the Canberra Raiders' loss to Wests Tigers last week.
The former Queensland State of Origin winger had only arrived in Australia seven days earlier, after starting the season at French club Catalans.
After three-and-a-bit seasons in Super League, Mogg said it was immediately obvious the NRL was better.
''There's always that argument about which one's better Super League or NRL,'' Mogg said.
''I suppose I can give a fair recommendation now that I've been able to play both in the one season.
''There's no doubt that the NRL is quicker and I think right across the park as footballers they're better.
''That's no disrespect to the Super League, there's some great players in England. Australia is seeing some of the quality now with Gareth Ellis at the Tigers and Sam Burgess at South Sydney.
''They've got some great players over there, but when you're talking right across the park the standard is higher here.''
Mogg is the latest in a string of players who have returned to the NRL after stints in Super League.
Former Test stars Trent Barrett, Jason Ryles, Greg Bird and Jason Cayless are also back, while England forwards Ellis and Burgess have joined the NRL's ranks in the past two years.
While he admitted the NRL was a damn sight faster, Mogg was confident he could have a big impact for the Raiders this season.
