Mogg returns

*points at earlier post

I still think he would be a better half than Herbert or McCrone... While I think McCrone is better, he still isn't first grade material at any other club...

I wasn't aware of the McFadden + Mogg factor, that could work out well too. The team looks really good warming up on the weekend with McFadden running around and assisting too... Then the game started :(

They didnt drop any balls in the warm up.

On your assistant comment
How are the Broncos going to go without Langer been the 14th man on the field

Dunneman , He was 42 and had been playing in that rubbish competition that they call Supa liga for the past 20 odd years?

I suppose you come to expect this sort of player that is bought in to give the average follower hope from this club.

I said somewhere else that the club lacks panache.

Can you people beleive that Donald and his band of merry men have left supporters in a situation where people are talking about Mogg at #7...

And alas it is not through injury.

Yeah... Because a difference CEO would have made Canberra a more attractive place to live and hence we would have gotten a star halfback for peanuts...

No but blokes with smarts could get one with copious amounts of brown paper bags, and a T shirt business fo his best matey.

Panache with a capital Don...doing things Don style...is Don is good.

But in saying all that the framework would have to change before that anyways,From a limp sad club that spues more excusues than some of the delusional types.

Yes my furry little friends it can be Re-invented,it can be done all is not lost,A re-branding and a few smart cookies is all we need, the rest will follow.

Mogg was superb at the Dragons, and was absolutely on fire in the play-offs last year when Catalans went from 8th to the penultimate game, where they almost turned over Leeds. Mogg was the best on the field that night.

As for his position, he played centre for a year and a half then moved to 5/8. Played a little bit of 7 but not much. Never on the wing though.

He'll go down as one of the best imports in recent SL history. You've got yourself a great player here.

It's supertough in the NRL: Mogg

It took just 26 minutes for Adam Mogg to realise and confirm what Australian rugby league fans and administrators have always boasted the NRL is hands down better than Europe's Super League.

Mogg became the first player to start a season in Super League and then play NRL in the same year, when he came on during the second half of the Canberra Raiders' loss to Wests Tigers last week.

The former Queensland State of Origin winger had only arrived in Australia seven days earlier, after starting the season at French club Catalans.

After three-and-a-bit seasons in Super League, Mogg said it was immediately obvious the NRL was better.

''There's always that argument about which one's better Super League or NRL,'' Mogg said.

''I suppose I can give a fair recommendation now that I've been able to play both in the one season.

''There's no doubt that the NRL is quicker and I think right across the park as footballers they're better.

''That's no disrespect to the Super League, there's some great players in England. Australia is seeing some of the quality now with Gareth Ellis at the Tigers and Sam Burgess at South Sydney.

''They've got some great players over there, but when you're talking right across the park the standard is higher here.''

Mogg is the latest in a string of players who have returned to the NRL after stints in Super League.

Former Test stars Trent Barrett, Jason Ryles, Greg Bird and Jason Cayless are also back, while England forwards Ellis and Burgess have joined the NRL's ranks in the past two years.

While he admitted the NRL was a damn sight faster, Mogg was confident he could have a big impact for the Raiders this season.
