Better not be true. It would be a massive blow to our premiership campaign for next year. No pack would even come close to dominating the forward players listed below. The relentless roll on would be unstoppable. Our backline will at times feel like they are playing tip footy. No, letting Fui go is NOT an option!!!

10 Moi Moi
9 K Keating
8 Poore
12 Shackleton
11 Hindmarsh
13 Mateo

14 Manah
15 Smith
16 M Keating

Throw in metres from Grothe and Hayne.

You also dropped Caylo?

I actually will switch Smith and Shack.

So that when the Bench comes on, we still have some size to it.

Spag told me himself a few months back that not only is he signed for next year but were looking at extending his deal at the club.

tbh if he ends up leaving than I'd be pretty pissed considering we were told that no player needed to make way for any new signings.

agreed

Sorry You are right, just an oversight. I will amend. As for who is on or off was not the issue. I was just showing the calibre of the forwards at our club for nest year.

Who plays halfback? If Morts, who plays 5/8th?

That was my thoughts as well.... the rumour that they are releasing players though still comes up.
But Osborne told us all that no-one had to be released to accommodate Tahu next season... :sarcasm:

I know who I'd rather have in my squad, and who our side needs most out of these two players.

We were also told that we only had $250k in the cap left to spread between 4 players... :sarcasm:

I'm hoping either Morts or KK ends up at half next year and if all things pan out Tom Humble is our 5/8th. Also that Anthony Mitchell is playing NRL next year.

We may also have to take into account that Humble MAY be worth a lot more in a season or two.
We might need a buffer up our sleeve to stop the prowling from other clubs.

I presume next season it will be:
6. Mortimer
7. K Keating (or swapped 6/7, doesn't really matter)
9. M Keating
14. Mitchell
...with Humble learning the trade down here and maybe getting a start second half of the year or through injury (like Morts)

With a pack going forwards - and including Fuifui :fist: - that shouldn't be a problem, as it hasn't been in the back half of this season.

You are kidding. :crazy::roll:

hahahah.

Mark my worlds. Hayne will be the best 5/8th in the world in probably about 4 years time.

I still reckon Hayne will be tried at 6 in the trials and barring injuries to the backline, I reckon he might just slot there.

What about all this Jack Gibson thing about picking your best players first and then let them work out where they should play. A bit like Sterlo and Taylor.

Our best 7 backs are : Current 1-6 + Tahu.

You can't say KK is better than any one of the current 1-6 on form and accomplishments this year.

And Robson has not put ink to paper as yet.

Agree, but there need to be certain limitations on that, most notably that HAYNE IS A FULLBACK.

But Taylor was not and played Fullback in attack and defended like a hooker in the line and Sterlo attacked like a halfback and cover defended like a fullback.

What I am saying is that I think we would probably go in with all the experience and injuries will settle it. And with the experience, they will manage to move around in attack and defense that it doesn't really matter what number is on who's back.

Yes, I AGREE, Hayne is a FULLBACK. The best FULLBACK. He has achieved it in 8 weeks at 21.

He has, what, 10-12 years left in the game?
