The Dragons stood their ground and the legal people would have told the Tigers that they wouldn't win if it ended up in court so the Tigers backed down.
Whole incident has not painted the Tigers in the best light.

That would be the Tigers solicitors. The Tigers board were also trying to say that Moltzen hadn't been released and that he would still be playing with the Tigers in 2012 hense the talks between the Tigers and the Dragons. This would still have been news reguardless of whether the Warriors won the grand final or not.
