lolesi i have been watching Aitken play for a very long time, as i am a black cat myself. There is no doubt that he has amazing skill, but i dont think he will be our saviour. Yes the injuries have everyone worried

well, I'm not gonna get myself too excited about all the rumours just yet, I've already had enough disappointment this season.

But if he did resign with Cronulla that would be awesome.

Id be wrapped if we can get him back and i like your confidence in this happening.

This now poses another question

Obviously Rogers is not going to be cheap so who will go to make way for him so we are able to sign him? I am right in assuming some people will have to go to allow us to sign him? Any suggestions?

see ya later Bails we don't need overpriced show ponies here at the sharks, they all reside at saint george,so goodbye and good riddance.

gotta stress it's still rumour but i've been hearing the same thing. at the very least i know matty's got to be considering returning to the sharks as a possible option.

you'd have to think there would be players shown the door at the end of this season so that would free up $ for MR and a few other much needed replacements for dead-wood. i still think peach has a lot to offer in a harmonious club behind a half-decent footy team, but MR carved it up in union from fullback. maybe peach to 5/8 ?

talking about aitken's injuries, don't forget how many mat's had. hopefully that will be all behind him when (if) he returns to the sharks. i also think the return of sludge jnr would be the final nail in the disaster of the anderson era.

and for heaven's sake bring back deano immediately if he's anywhere near fitness.

From the Sydney Yawning Herald

Cronulla chief executive Steve Rogers last night confirmed the club was investigating the possibility of his son Mat returning from rugby union next season.

Mat Rogers, 28, will be off contract with the Australian Rugby Union later this year and has expressed an interest in again playing for Cronulla.

Steve Rogers said he had spoken informally to the 2000 World Cup winger about the issue.

"I had lunch with his manager on Monday and it came up, although nothing official is happening yet," said Rogers.

"If he wants to come back to Cronulla, we would try our best to accommodate him."

Since switching codes in 2002, Mat Rogers has become a mainstay of the Wallabies side and was one of the stars of the World Cup but will miss the rest of this season with an ankle injury.
