More about Matt Rogers

OK People,

I know there is another thread about Matt Rogers and his thoughts of what to do when his contract expires with the ARU. Well, once again on the Tadpoles good authority (hasnt let me down yet) Matt is very keen to rejoin the greatest game of all with the sharks, it is said that he believes he has 2 or 3 good years left in him and wants to finish it with the shire club, he feels he has done all he wanted to in union when he went there and wants to help the sharks to their first premeirship.

I am not one to crap about and spread cow dung on these forums, i tell what i hear from my sources which are very very reliable. If i am wrong i will commit myself to the mob here, but i believe the shark fans have something very good to look forward to next year. If there is any person you would find room under the salary cap for it would come down to either Matty or Treister, to tell you the truth it woould be great to see them both back where they belong...in the black white and blue....up, up CRONULLA...........

This now poses another question

Obviously Rogers is not going to be cheap so who will go to make way for him so we are able to sign him? I am right in assuming some people will have to go to allow us to sign him? Any suggestions?

you are right, there is some kind of concession, but it's a matter of having the money in the first place.

As far as I know, thats the one.

Clubs only get a concession if they sign them before they hit 21 or 22. Unless they've changed it, I'm pretty certain that's it.

I thought they scrapped the whole Union concession thing. Maybe wrong but there was huge talk 2 years ago when Rogers etc left. However Gallop? said no as it would send club bankrupt, and we want to give League boys a fair go not union. There maybe an under 21 rule but maybe there's more detail than just that. One thing thats for sure we get no concession for signing Rogers that im certain of.

He could play 5/8th, but eventually we'd have to shift him elsewhere for Aitken.

Watching hes Mathew Cup games ( yes i know its no real indication ) we he scored a hat trick every where cept 1 wasn't it??? That shows class.

And Rogers back would be so awsome
