For those who are still vaguely interested or still hoping for Chinese Democracy to see the light of day you may be interested to know that portions of two tracks were leaked on www.mygnrforum.com.
DISCLAIMER: No links to downloads available there and don't expect old school GnR...still pretty good quality rock
Plus, more signs of the imminent return of Axl and the release of the album is that Axl made public appearances at a Victoria's Secret Valentine's Day show and was photographed, so it isn't some tabloid rehash. Axl also held an impromptu 'listening party' show at a local club when celebrating his recent birthday...this really doesn't sound like the Axl everyone has come to know and hate, but this is definitely a good thing for anyone who is still interested...Furthermore, Slash has also discussed the fact that he knows that the album will see the light of day, possibly in March, and who better for a source than Slash, who in the certain interview which mentions Chinese Democracy seems somewhat happy for the release of the album and the progress of Axl along with it....major movements for the long suffering Axl N Roses fan.....
The first track is I.R.S which has previously been available through prior leaks but in crappy demo quality. As yet, this most recent leak is as close to studio quality as possible...US radio stations are playing the leaked mp3 which could land them in crap, but hey its all good.
The second track is Better, which starts off in a real spun out psycho electronic way, sort of like Silkworms if anyone knows what I'm talking about......the track then kicks in with nice sounding guitar work and decent vocals and lyrics......unfortunately, this track is only 1:20 and demo quality.
