They are playing just about all the major metal festivals in Europe over the June period.

Rock in Rio (Lisbon), Rovarock (Switzerland), Gods of Metal (Italy), Download (Donnington, UK) and more will follow as the lineups are announced.

The only thing that worries me about the relaunch is the current rumour about its method. They are talking about releasing 'Welcome to the Jungle' in March, a CD featuring all of Axl's and Slash's favourite songs from the back catalogue. Quite how they are getting on together to choose the songs is beyond me, but thats how the story goes. The record company is apparantly going to release this as an indicator of how well Chinese Democracy will sell. I just can't see the relevance. We had a Greatest Hits last year which sold well, and that included most of the classics. The new one will be better and may include some unreleased material, but I can't see how people are going to buy a second Greatest Hits album by a band with only 3 proper albums.

Next Chinese Democracy will finally drop in May, in enough time for people to learn the songs before they play them in the festivals.

From what I have heard it is hit and miss. I thought rhiad and the blues were dog sh*t. Another song that dizzy reed wrote (maybe one of the above, dont remember) was absolute torture to my ears....what he was doing in the band is beyond me, its good reason why he never left - he had no other options!

However I really liked madagasca even though it ripped of the same civil war sound bites from that cool hand luke movie (it was cool hand wasnt it?).

In my opinion Axl was always a great writer and later especially for the ballad type songs, mixed with Izzy stradlins song writing for some rockers and i thought it was a great mix. I think Axl n roses was a better prospect with buckethead in the band, he gave them a bit of an edge - something different which could have worked i reckon.

Im looking forward to the cd as there will no doubt be some good songs ill like, much like velvet revolver but they wont ever compare to the original for mine. When the reunion happens it will be better.

BTW in the latest pics of AXL does he still look ridiculous? last photo i saw he had plastic surgery and his face looked like the joker from batman!! And the image needs to change a little, he still can wear the bandana and the amercian football top and claim to have moved forward! And the little white bike pants from the illusion tour with dribble marks in the front better not make a return!!!

Motley Crue have today announced that they know nothing about the Guns thing, and say they are 'confused'.

Has anyone heard the full version of BETTER yet? Sweet holy f()ck was that a shock! Thats some heavy stuff in there, so complex too.

If the second half of Better is any indication I'd say there are a few mental disorders knocking about in the band. Its f()cking nuts!
