Well, minority and you are old friends, I'm afraid, Suity. ;-)

Vaealiki underperformed in 2002/3, as did bloody everyone. Hence the old Sack Smith arguments.

we all want to keep tim smith. whoop-de-doo. not much we can do about it if some crazy club offers an unproven FG player a huge amount we cant match.

we tried to keep tonga, he made a choice to leave not much we can do about it. hindsight strikes again. its not as though we didnt try.

vaealiki has underperformed in the past few seasons. however, he is not the only one either. and GAME FIRST, if you honestly believe he would not be wanted by other clubs you kidding yourself. hes been an international player. who wouldnt want him.

GAME FIRST i know from another post you dont like fence sitters, but i think everyone needs to settle down a bit and then blowup if a decision is made that you dont like. remember everyone saying how crap the purchase of stapleton would turn out? and look what happens! the future is full of surprises. riddel for example may be lethal working in combination with morris. OR he may turn out like a dud buy for a couple of seasons like dyksey. Orford may be our key as well (if we get him) and if the CC team isnt included - hell, we may keep him for a few more years after that.

with so many IF's and BUT's and the way hindsights always seems to make a fool out of you in some way there is not reason to get so worked up over something that hasnt happened yet. and GAME FIRST, i think it is really unnecessary to attack Colonel and Strider telling them they have their facts wrong. and not to reply to 'your' topics like you're all high and mighty, when clearly some of your claims arent up to scratch either.

Point taken- but anyone can say we will see what happens -which is true-but we are here to make predictions from our opinions which may end up wrong or right

So the point is to have a go at least - isnt it?

I'm an advocate of 'if the kid's good enough, he's old enough'. With Dykes and Wagon beside him, he'd learn heaps and get a decent transgression without having the playmaker pressure thrust upon him that Witty had.

At this stage, he's not good enough. You mentioned Fittler, guys like freddy absolutley dominated in reggies, Tim Smith aint doing that

He has only played 3 games of 1st div and 2 of those have been at 5/8. The 1st game that he played against the tigers he was excellent. He is a genuine No.7.

Only because you agree with it 100%.

A lot of other threads have made just as valid points, that you don't agree with.

Suity

P.s Except the bit about attacking people.....Game First got that wrong big time.

Fish eel Im trying to remember Where u one of the ones that said Willie Tonga cant play and cant tackle last year??

Nope.

In fact Jake, last year I used to love watching willie run the ball....rememberring thinking his defence was maybe a bit shakey, but god he used to look special ball in hand with a bit of space. If only we knew what was going to happen to Dave V and killer.

As for Tim Smith, he could be good. Real good. No need to rush him though. He'll get a chance when the coach thinks he is ready.

Well I guess game firsts "good oil" about the Eels not having Smith under contract wasn't excatly correct.

"good oil" I think he's sniffing it to tell you the truth, thats the problem.

First he claims Pritchard has signed with us - Ba Boooooow! Wrong!

Then he claims Tim Smith is apparently unsigned nor a priority to be re-signed - Ba Boooow! Wrong on both counts!

He's on fire GAME FIRST

Wow now its 70 posts on a kid coming through the grades, I have never seen this kind of intrest in a Junior before.

Probably cause it was for chance for people to bag smithy b for letting smithy t go, which as we all know now is a crock!

In defence of Game First on this one....the rumoours linking us with Pritchard have been quite strong for some time now, though they seem to be dying off now.

I know at one stage, I heard some Pritchard rumours, and it was backed up by what was in a Penrith paper.

The interest has certainly been there, maybe we've been gazumped by another club $$ wise?

There's a difference between passing on a rumour he may be coming, and announcing that we have signed him. GF was rightfully criticized for the latter.
