Morris - "No try"

I just watched the Morris no try again....frame by frame.
That was a try.
His hands were on the ball, as the point of the ball touched the ground, well inside the dead ball line.

Pause it and go frame by frame and you'll see it's a try.

That would have made it 22-12 with 22mins left.
Then we had Lett's no try.....not saying we would have won, and still think Manly were the better side, but the result could have been a lot different.

A Tigers fan(in the main NRL forum) also stated that Farrar didn't ground the ball for his try, apparently the ball never touched the ground at all, and he was then rolled over.

Not saying that it would of changed the result but I f**king hate arrogant refs who refuse to go to the video ref when players are crying out to. I hope this f**kwit is in NSW cup next week. Arrogant prick

Not to mention the obstruction in Farrars try
and Cooper shouldve been given the try in the first place, meaning we shouldnt have gone to the morris no try thing
but what can you do?
our defense was flat from the beginning, letting in easy metres and not regaining those metres through our forwards.

All you can do is hope that the druggos beat the titans tomorrow so that we are still outright first

We weren't up for it in the same fashion as Manly, not much to read into the result other than a Manly win with both clubs having a big number of players backing up.

As for the forward pass, gifted intelligence from the touchie who's only job is to make the odd call in a match.....and get it wrong. Certainly not a game breaking call, as bad as it was.

Back on the horse next week, bring it on.

Is there a player who gets more fair tries dissallowed than Morris.....That would have to be at least 6 in 2 seasons......

Might have something to do with him getting across the try line more than any other player in the NRL...nice problem to have!

We were hit by the curse of Tony De La Has again.

Hayne was about to blow the try, the touchie didn't call the ball forward, instead it was De La Has, from behind the Dragons play the ball, who tipped off Hayne.

De La Has was also the one who didn't go to the video ref over what should have been the Brett Morris try.

I also personally believe that the penalty against Creagh for the "late hit" on the Manly No.7 was ridiculous. Of course, Manly scored on the back of that penalty.

While I agree that we were outplayed and that we looked slow and flat, the above and a possible Farrah no grounding that I've read about but haven't seen replays of, there's enough here to believe we still should have been able to steal the game with correct rulings.

Don't think it would have mattered, I think Manly outmuscled you blokes last night. Hopefully it was just a result of Weyman being out, but gees at times it looked liked boys v men.

Tonight was dissapointing, everything seemed to go wrong for us not to mention the amount of players that were ruled out also. I think the one Cooper scored in the corner was a dead set try, in saying that it would not have changed much and summed up our night really.

Looked OK to me - in slo-mo. The TV guy said - yeah, it looks OK in slo-mo, but ... - as if it shouldn't be a try because you couldn't tell it was in RT.

The second ref was Badger, not De La Heras.

If a team is good enough then they should win without marginal decisions.

We weren't up for it.... as much as I hate to say that.

Glad we got the loss out of the way though... even though I lost 100 on em.

A quick games a good game in regular season.

Obviously in the business end of the year and rep games the video referee should be used wherever possible.

The cream rises to the top.... and look where we are :D

In my opinion, It was a brave call not to check upstairs...but I believe he got it right.... No try for mine, the ball always got a bit of the chalk whether he grounded it correctly or not.

Weyman, J Smith, Scott, Saffy, Fein, Nightingale plus Costigan was forced off injured.

You may be right - but I thought when the ball was on its axis - like an egg - the point was on the ground - BEFORE the line.

Still, its all spilt milk now ... :)

Ooooh... should I worry?
 Yeah... you're not sensitive.

hattrick, the point of the ball hit the grass before the deadball line. Should have been a try. At the very least Badger should have gone to the video ref - that's what he's there for.

But thems the breaks, what comes around comes around again. We might get a favourable call next match.
