Morrison and other players we SHOULD be targeting

Parramatta made no signing announcements yesterday but are increasingly favoured to win the signature of Cowboys forward Glenn Morrison.

The Tigers were also believed to have made a late offer to Morrison yesterday after withdrawing from initial negotiations.

Morrison met with his manager late last night to discuss the Parramatta offer as well as packages put forward by English clubs Wigan and Bradford.

It is believed Morrison is leaning towards the three-year deal with the Eels, which would mean he and his family could move back to Sydney where both their families are.

Now, I really have to ask...

Why the f**k are we NOT one of the clubs with an offer on the table?We may not have been one of the teams favoured to snare his autograph, but we at least have to get ourselves out there in the market!

As for the salary cap - How the hell can we sustain a 16th team with all our talent heading O/S?

There's not enough talent to make up 12 top teams, let alone six-freaking-teen.

If this kid goes to the UK, it will be a huge loss to league.

but look at Penrif and the Storm. and a lesser degree Raiders. these lower teams can go places

on the other hand, you could have a 2nd souths with retirement packages available for all players

just look at the money the gold coast and central coast are throwing at players in England. and they don't even have a team yet. some big players over there could be back on their way over here with big dollars being offered. including some ex sharkies

If Parramatta get Tahu, then they wont be chasing Morrison.

Hmmmmmmmmmm.......At least three premium signings there from Parramatta in Tahu,Riddell & Stringer. Surely they wouldn't be able to retain the likes of Dykes & Eric Growth Jnr when only a month ago Dennis Fitzgerald said the club were operating close to their salary cap.

They couldn't of bought those three on Jamie Lyon's money.............

Morrison used to be a Terrigal Shark, wearing black white and blue... I think it is time he got in touch with his younger days ;-) (just not at terrigal :lol: )

Tigers have pulled out, Parra will have to pull out. Morrison doesn't wanna go to the UK at all(!!!!). He loves the beach, he wants to be in sydney.

Morrison used to be a fullback in his jnr days :lol:

He could be a 5/8, Gallen style. He played 4 and 5 at North Sydney :shock: and kicked a few goals when JT didn't line up for a kicky.

Morrison knows how to work the edges well(as seen when he scored against us with ease) and works like Nutley. Averages around 20 tackles, 20 hit ups a game. He always gets a forward try in VNRL aswell :lol:

Nothing wrong with buying PL players to beef up our PL team. But we need to buy a classy player and Morrison should be it!
