Morrisons effort v the Roosters

All I can say is wow. This guy is going to make a huge difference to our pack with his defence and constant hit ups and also taking a huge amount of work off Hindmarsh.

Coming back from a broken back and playing this good is a miracle.

His an animal. Although he didnt play as well as he did against Broncos in attack, his defence was faultless. Another Wagon except he can pass.

15 hit ups which he came 3rd on the list for the cowboys and only 3 behind no.1 which was Odonell

and 30 tackles which he toped the tackle count for the cowboys.

For a person who played off the bench thats what I call Hindmarsh like.

Right on Twiz!!

The guy actually carts the ball forward - and I've yet to see him foolishly rush out of the line! Bring him on and let "the other guy" go back to reserve grade!

I've said all along the player most at risk with the signing of Robinson, Morrison, Stringer and the emergence of Jack Afamasaga would be Wagon. I think Wagon can offer something to the team however he needs a big off season...

I can't see Brian Smith getting rid of Wagon. Especially since he is the preferred captain when Cayless is unavailable. Whether he can offer something to the side or he can't, he'll still be there.

I don't think Brian will get rid of him however his form will have to be top notch for him to hold a starting spot at the very least.

I reckon he'll still hold a starting spot though. I think Smith will have him at first choice lock with Morrison and Hindy in the second row. The others will have to compete for spots on the bench. It'll all come down to whether Cayless returns to the front row or now, with Morrison and Hindy I don't see the need for him staying there and should revert back to prop. As long as Wagon doesn't play 5'8th again i'll be happy.

Wagon would not be starting in 1st grade in any other team well maybe Manly. Another thing we have to deal with our coach.
