I dont think Jacky will be there in round 1 2005. He is still very young and we have bought well in the forwards. Dont see him being there unless we have injuries.

I would love to see wags starting at lock but he needs to put his head down and attack the line at pace rather than runnnin up half pace and being caught in a dominate tackles like he did for the majority off this season.

Afasamaga has some real talent! he will be pushing hard for a bench spot next season.

I wouldnt like him starting because of his inexperience. But bench would be good. Does he only play backrow?

I'm sure given some guidance Jack could also play prop. He has got the size and strength to be a good prop.

Ditto for every forward in the pack, except Hindy! If our guys up front can lift their game, they'll make it easier for the halves to do stuff, which'll make it easier for our backs to use their skills. A, B, C...

Hindy, Cayless, Morrison and Riddell (if all are fit) Will give our pack good go forward. i really feel that 5 players are going to have a huge impact on our season. Them being Vella, Robison, Stringer, Cannings and Tsoulos. If these guys week to week play to their ability then the team is going to be so better of for it. They hold the key to a successful season.

I reckon Morris out of Dummy half has been the cause of the lack lustre of our forwards. He really doesnt platform well for our pack and seems to love playing the shortballs continually which allows the opposition markers to cut them down before they pass the advantage line. I think with Riddell and hopefully Marsh as our hookers we will do better as both have established themselves as quality players. I dont think Witt has any place in the team atm.
6 Morris
7 Smith (rumoured to be used next year)
9 Riddell
14 Marsh (hasnt played half for a very long time and does best in the hooking role)

Sorry I wasn't clear, I meant every forward bar Hindy in our pack this year, the bit about running up half pace and being caught in dominant tackles...

I too hope Vella, Cannings, and Tsoulos play fit and to their ability with no injuries. There is so much room for us to improve in the prop department next season!

The one bad thing is that when a player hits a form slump they arent dropped. It really shits me seeing Graham sometimes this year because we had other candidates who should have been promoted.

when i said a better workarate etc i mean't that the forward pack is getting all it can from 3 workhorses in the backrow as well as the extra workrate of Cayless playing in the front row???? do you see what i mean now???

i think its better that way and then bring the big guys like Cannings, Stringer, Tsoulos and Robinson (whichever two on the bench at the time) on later to really go for it when Vella and Cayless need a rest???

believe me i'm not doubting Cayless's workrate or ability at all, just think IMHO that might be the better fit for our forwards next year at least to begin with????

I think your mistaking Wagon for a Workhorse. Sure he makes alot of tackles but most locks do. His lack of involvement in working the ball out of our own end is what bothers me. That is one of Parramatta's main problems. I don't see how that is going to change if guys like Wagon and Vella are still in the pack. Sure if Cayless needs to play front row then i dont have an issue with that.

Even a pack like this:

8.Cayless
9.Riddell
10.Stringer
11.Hindmarsh
12.Robinson
13.Morrison

is better than the one we have had in pervious seasons.

My pack would be
8 Cannings
9 Riddell
10 Cayless
11 Hindy
12 Morrison
13 Wagon
Stringer is best off the bench as is Vella.

i can see that pack working well. I still think there is a better option than Wagon but if he plays to his best week to week then i think he will do fine.

Hmmm thats a pretty good bench but I would love to see Mateo start at lock. You still gotta wonder what Robinson is doing. He left a strong side and I cant see him playing unless Cannings isnt first choice.
