Agreed, he played plenty of back row at junior level for Penrith so it wouldn't be foreign to him. He's already listed as 98kg's. Get maybe 5-7 more kg's on him over the off season to push him up to 103-105. He'd still be really mobile but should be able to handle the defensive side of things as well.

1. Teddy
6. Moses
7. Brooks
9. Farah
13. Austin

That is A LOT of firepower. With our 4 monster forwards coming off the bench I think that would be a really good balance. It's what we just crushed the Dogs with but add Teddy in.

Wow... not wrong , a tiny bit of work with Austins defense and that is a group that salary cap busters would be very envious of. Fmd thats about 6000 ford falcons right there ;)

I think Austin has been very good for the side this year. Am I correct in saying he actually lost the weight we are now talking about so he could play 5/8? In any case I think Austin needs to be in the team just for the versitality he offers at 1, 6, 7 or 9.

He just needs to shave off his Doonside goatee and he'll be a complete player.

Austen will play nine when Farah is un available ,one when Teddy is un available, six when Moses is un available seven when Brooks is un available and maybe 14 on the week they all turn up

The problem with Austin is that he will be scooped up by another club if he isn't able to lock down a spot. He's only signed until end of 2015 I believe...

If we go on a massive charge to finals with Austin at 5/8, it will be even harder to tell him "oh sorry Moses will be taking that spot now".

It's one of those good problems to have

So we get rid of Blair? I'm happy.

Given Farah may be nearing retirement in a few years hopefully the WT can hang on to Austin and slot him in there if no other suitable option arises.

Is Cherrington any good? every time I have watched him he has done nothing to stand out...!

The 20's played a game on fox about a month ago (can't remember who against), but Cherrington absolutely carved up. Ennis was commentating and creaming his pants over him.

Shame Politini didnt hang around.

Why would he? Wasn't going to start ahead of Farah and couldn't get a crack ahead Luani and Cherrington. At first I thought he was stupid to go to the Sharks with Morris, De Gois and Lichaa on their books, but he's playing interchange hooker now and will likely end up starting hooker once Ennis retires. Good on him.
