Benji has just knocked off Glenn Morrison as my most hated player in the history of our clubs.

That announcement today with him in an Auckland jersey despite him still being contracted to our club was very Lebron James-esque. That smacked of disrespect to every fan that have backed him over the years. He should be dropped for that alone.

Thanks for 2005 Benji....you gave us the edge. But, you are now a disgrace.

At least Lebron waited till the off season to make his public decision. West Tigers fans should be furious but the NRL should throw the book at him. That was an absolute disrespect to the game in general.
The funniest part is he is "skipping" the world cup. Mate you weren't going to be picked!

It used to be Moltzen but Benji has definitely taken over. A small part of me thinks that this jump over to union was to save the embarrassment of not being picked for the kiwi's in the World Cup. The writing was on the wall when they took the captaincy off him. It's much less controversial to drop a player than it is a captain, even if that player is Benji Marshall !!! Good riddance !!! Cheers for 2005 !!!

I think Blair is slowly dropping of the list with some improvement in his effort. As for Benji id rather him just go now and leave only the good memories.

Personally I'd add that heartless f**k Teo to your list, Unit. I agree with macnaz that Blair has improved immensely since moving to prop. Probably not worth $500k, but still much better than last year. He'll probably always be on some people's list though.

This Benji melodrama is making it really hard for me to admire him at the moment.

Just wanted to thank the Tigers & Benji for not letting the Dragons have Moltzen... Amazing that in the space of a few weeks Benji has left a sour taste in the Tigers fans mouth, he could have left a great legacy, but will be remembered as DHead with his Auckland Blues stunt, he thinks he is bigger than the club and the NRL...

Fair enough to be angry and annoyed with Benji leaving the club, but calling him your most hated player is nothing short of disgraceful. Do you all not remember when this legend of a player delivered us our maiden title? Do you not remember when he was the only reason we all watched games in the horror 03-04 years? Do you not remember his endless highlight reels? Do you not remember when he won the golden boot and came a bees dick away from winning the Dally M?

Your all absolute f**king idiots for hating him. We should be angry, but we should celebrate him for what he has done for us. Sure he has f**ked up over the years, but the good has always outweighed the bad.

Just to be clear not all Tigers fans are spoilt little f**ken brats. It is a select few.

I don't hate benji but the video with the Auckland blues jersey on is not good. I wouldn't be surprised if its not a breach of nrl rules in promoting a rival code when contracted to the nrl. It just confirms the obvious that benji has been more concerned with benji this year than wt. his continued selection in games this year should be on form and in the current form he does not deserve to be there, I'd rather give some newbies some nrl expeiience in the few remaining games. Good luck benji I think you have made the right decision for both wt and yourself.

I still like Marshall more than I like Prince, who departed in similar circumstances, signed with a lot of games still to go with the club and looked like he didn't give a stuff afterwards. Marshall did a lot for the club, although by the end of it his ego could not longer fit in the joint. The video in the Blues jersey was bad, but he clearly doesn't give a stuff anymore so what can you do, if the club fines him he just won't pay it and if they sack him well he's got somewhere to go, and dropping him isn't a big deal since he doesn't seem to care.
