Beau Ryan should be on more Most Improved lists. It wasn't long ago where people called him one of the worst players in the competition, now he's a top tier winger than can play good in multiple backline positions.
I thought Ryan was very good last year, though. Certainly was in the second half of the year, anyway.

I know he has been injured but Josh Dugan would be at the top of my 'gone backwards' list. He's nowhere near as good as he was last year.

Name one who was better. Just one.

Here's a hint: you can't because there wasn't one.

Kalifa Faifai Loa from International Winger to left right out.

Played his 2nd game 2 weeks ago, and had Cowboys fan pining for the return of Michael Bani.

Nice story. Not backed up by facts or statistics, but a nice story nonetheless.
I know logic and facts aren't your strong suit champ, but Scott, Hannant and Tamou at the very least shat on the big pillow Shillington from great heights this origin series

:lol: You do realise there's so much more than stats to a prop's performance?

Kane Linnett has certainly improved, while Gavin Cooper continues being very good for zero recognition.

Gavin is great. Better than Matt Gillett that is for sure.

Yeah not quite......

Average hitups, metres and tackles from the Origin series:

Shillington - 14 hitups 113.6m 17 tackles
Hannant - 7.6 hitups 57.6m 20.3 tackles
Scott - 11.3 hitups 102m 27 tackles
Civoniceva - 11.6 hitups 93.6m 20.3 tackles
Tamou - 11.3 hitups 93.3m 28.6 tackles

Once again, there's so much more to a prop's performance than stats. Try to see that through your bias.

Yep there is. NSW dominated the forward battle while Shillo was on the bench, as soon as he came on Queensland got on top.

But honestly, making metres is the single most important part of a prop's job, and nobody in Origin did that better than he did.

Just out of interest, what falls into this "so much more" that you talk about that makes these other props so much better?

I think Shillo and Hannant were great, but those stats can be deceiving.

Making metres as as starting prop is a much harder task, especially in the first 10mins or so when defences are absolutely hyped up and making even 30m in 6 tackles is an achievement.
