Is it the same with some Pakistani's also?

I remember how Wasim Akram would wear Wasim on his one day shirt, but Shaid Afridi would have Afridi (I think)

There is a guy up home (NQ) who was a bit of a gun league player in his time called Dave Day, he called his daughter Sunny, no shit.

I also went to school with a Wavely Mortar.

This. Also means I am the son of Thor, which makes me a god right?

Oh I thought the T was silent.. :sarcasm:

It was quite common for early settlers/convicts in Australia to adopt a surname from the area they departed from - like a creek or river from their hometown. It makes it very difficult to trace your heritage.

My uncle looked up our family tree years ago and discovered that when my ancestors moved to Perth from Norway they changed the name from Torensen to Thorson. Don't know why though. The SEN is Norwegian and SON is swedish.

and in my family there have been a few Thors, Thores and Tors. One of my brothers middle names is Thor as well.

Charlie Herekotukutuku.
Siuatonga Likiliki.
Rupeni Caucaunibuca.
Viliame Waqaseduadua.

Some players just have pretty funny names. Both codes. At school, i grew up with a kid from India. His name was Abhishek Dutt. No joke.

There was a guy who used to play football, his name was Mark Kerr.

Doesn't seem like a weird name, but when he scores penalites it would look as

'Mark Kerr Pen'
