talk about in your face, they sack cappy last year because of so many different reasons.....and yet now he cant actually be any closer or influential on game day..... by having the goose running the water and instructions....makes me cringe very time.

Recruiting ex-All Blacks was always a bit silly. Although off-field, at least with Kirwan, it did promote the club and code during our first years.

To aggressively go after Wiki in 1994, when it was obvious he wanted to stay with his premiership-winning Raiders, always struck me as self-defeating. You don't try to force a player to arrive or stay. If already here finish off a current season, yes, but beyond that let them go.

Going with Super League the year after being admitted into the NRL? No loyalty to the ARL, which let us come into the competition?

All that Eden Park schmozzle was, just that.

All those bloody jerseys during the Scurrah era. Talk about being souless.

If you want to look at wjy the club has underacheived, 20 years of more or less consistent mismanagement is the answer. I think Doyle is a huge improvement but realistically he's less than two years in and it'll take longer than that to get everything right.

Ali was escorted from MT Smart I've had a chat with him about what happened that day which I can't post on a public Forum....but all I can say is Ali's treatment was spearheaded by a pairing of impulsive mad men.

Ali was selected as a scape goat by Australians who were trying to make a racial statement about P.I players ( I am not P.I BTW).

Knowing Ali I'm glad he went to England.

As much as that move pissed me off as a fan....I'm thrilled the bro ended up setting himself up for life with prudent financial investments.

It won't surprise anyone to read me say that management's handling of Ivan Cleary is the greatest ongoing f**k-up in our history. Playing the bullshit jingoistic card in replacing him with an unproven Kiwi the first time (on the back of fan pressure) then ignoring him again for another unproven Kiwi. I think not signing him the second time will prove to be our biggest error of all time, and set us back more than anyone thinks right now. Hope I'm wrong, but when I see him take over and win matches with a Tigers side spilling over with subterfuge , media speculation and mercenaries, I honestly get mad when I know we could've had him and he'd instantly make us better - way better. But hey, we got bored of making finals apparently.

The god awful 'best club in the Southern Hemisphere' stuff, from which we've become worse and worse.

Re-signing McFudd for 3 more years after 4 games, then making the almost unprecedented in world sport move of keeping him on staff after being fired.

I have to admit I didn't know about the Bellamy stuff and him being close to considering us, which surprises me given the regularity I'm on this forum. Can anyone explain? Although just saying 'Wayne Scurrah' will suffice, given those two words will explain any level of useless f**king management.
