Alan Tongue. The guy goes through a mountain of defence and does the shitty stuff that no-one notices but holds the team together around the ruck. His first game this year (rd 3 v dragons) he was so pumped to get out their and make an impact he made 38 tackles in 45 minutes  now that is a stat!
Plus he's the quietest, most down to earth guy you'll ever meet, very humble and always chats to fans. I've spoken to Tonguey for 10-15 mins after games, just shooting the breeze! He always has time for everyone!

I could just say the whole Storm side is underrated because nobody rated us before this year but the main ones from the Storm would be...

Orford, Geyer, Bell, Moala, Williams, Robinson, Reynoldson.

what a great topic. Congratulations on your innovativeness.

innovativeness??? that's innovative!!!

Under-rated team

1. Darren Lockyer (I think few people realise just how good he really is)
2. All wingers are over-rated
3. Centre's seem to be rated esp highly too - Ryan Girdler (with Lyon and Vagana - the best there is)
4. Josh Hannay (better than solid)
5. All wingers are over-rated
6. Matt Geyer (does a good job, without the glamour of most 5/8s)
7. Matt Orford
8. John Skandalis (very very good prop)
9. Darren Senter
10. Danny Nutley (work horse)
11. Ian Hindmarsh (better value than his brother??)
12. Awen Guttenbeil (best of Warriors forwards IMO)
13. Glenn Morrison (IMO superior to Ricketson)

14. Shane Rodney - whole hearted, super versatile
15. Daniel Abraham (surrounded by stars)
16. Matt Parsons (makes a huge difference to Kinights when fit)
17. Jason Croker (has been under-rated his whole career)

(I know, no specialist backs in reserves, but backs tend to be over-rated!!)

I agree that Ian is under rated however the better value than his brother could very much be debated.

Two highly different players.

Ian is the defensive workhorse who IMO was the biggest loss to Parramatta last year and should have been the first forward picked for the Roo tour with all the injuries that had occured. His attack is very under rated as well - he has scored one of the best kick and chase tries I have ever seen for a forward!

Nathan is a gamebreaker who unfortunately gets used much the same way as Brad Clyde used to for Canberra - he hasn't been as big a hit on the rep scene moreso for his personality than anything else. He has tended to remain in the background rather than stamp himself on the game as he tends to be rather shy among people he doesn't know.

I agree totally, I had question marks after the comment...

If I had to have one, it would be Nathan, and he was superb in 2002, but I think Ian was great this year, and as he's not as flashy, doesn't get the wraps he deserves (along with the whole Canberra fprward pack)

Nathan showed his worth when he came back in his first game after injuring his ankle and played the whole 80 minutes.

Ian is definitely not too flashy but we would certainly take him back to the Eels any day! Ian should have played Origin by now!

hindmarsh and the whole raiders forward pack are underrated. i definately think that davico and o'hara deserved to play origin this year. and i thought with all the injuries at least one of them should've gone on the kangaroo tour.
