Mighty ? They are a nouveau riche, soul-less, history-less club that were 5 minutes from going under before the russian crook saved them. Such a big club they were getting some 10,000 crowds when they were sh*t. I hope it's chelsea as well cos i'll be slapping a few tarquins and tobys from richmond on wembley way

But for the record i think everton will get through

MOTH,

Mate I loved them before they were rich, Gianfranco Zola in my opinion is one of the best players I have ever seen. Being of Italian stock myself, Vialli, Zola, Di Matteo and The Tinkerman Ranieri a bit later on made it very easy to follow.

Personally I think Abramovich is a very honest man and would never have hurt/mamed/assassinated/killed/made permanently disappear or rubbed out anyone to improve his $$$$$$$$$$$$ position.

I also believe in Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny.

If Chelsea get through I will meet you for a schooner.

Hahah the russian has dubious morals but then ifit makes one that rich ... seen his new mrs ? Worst support in London by a mile ... 7,000 fans, cars parked round the ground whilst the game was on and before the russian bought everything in site they had very few trophies and were as revered in Europe as Lecce. I fly outta here on 19th Feb and get back on 14th march which i think is the fri before the comp starts ... i am taking one of my boys over to englnd then meeting the mrs in singapoe on the way back and from there we head to Phuket, KL and back to Singapore

Cmon Chelsea!

Spuds shrivel up and crumble when they have to play the Chels

Everton away won't be easy though.

I think Everton are near enough morals. Their crowd will be right up for it and chelsea have plenty out ... Eddie do you remember when all the Capris used to be parked round the pitch at scumford bridge ... not that chelsea were on telly much back in the 1980s as they yo yo'd between divisions

I like the EPL, I watch it regularly but I don't follow any particular team. I used to follow Liverpool back in the day when Keegan, Heighway, Hughes and co ruled the roost. Lost touch with it 10 or so years ago but when I got Fox I got interested again.

The fantasy comps are exceelent for the EPL.

I remember a game we lost in the last twenty seconds at LO against Penrith, in front of about 40 people, and I remember it because of the toothless booner crowing on the hill, going 'go panfas!'

He's probably in the Wests Tigers Fanatics now ... probably their sergeant with 3 pips on his Lowes trackies. The only ones more thick than pamfa fans are soufs fans

Moth another trip abroad, must be clocking up those frequent flyer points. Its a pity the spurs will get beaten again in the 89th minute. I know why you follow them, similar to the tigers drag you along till the last minute than roll over. Anyway, the red devils for me

Hahah they are exactly the same ... even at 4-0 with 20 to go i was sh*tting it.
Like the tigers at penriff park when 25-12 up with 5 to go and almost still get beat

I remember seeing old games, and even games in the 90's, and the Bridge was a sh*thole. The crowd was not close to the game and seemed to be dirt and construction going on everywhere.

Being 22 though I don't remember an awful lot from the 80's. Although I would always get up and watch games in the middle of the night in the early mid 90's when Chelsea were starting to develop that reputation as a place for overpaid foreigners. We never really won anything but players such as Zola, Vialli, Poyet, Desially, Lebouef, Flo, Hasselbaink were all quality on their day.

We win an awful lot now, but not in the style we should with so many quality players. Chelsea 1-0 grind out wins are equivalent to Manly's very successful 18-8 pocket theory slug fests.

Hahah chelsea have spunked more than a debt ridden third world nation and still ply it in a manner of a rich man's Bolton. And when (that's not if) the Russian f**ks off, Chelsea will be in an almighty hole. He won't keep losing 80m quid a yr and the thing is chelsea will never be self sustaining because they are a small club. Nowhere near as big as the likes of City, Everton and Villa.

In the late 1980s and early 90s 7,000 crowds were regular and the west stand resembled henson park with capris and cortinas parked on the touchline

I think the PL equivalent of Manly are Villa at the moment. Boring as f**k, play for set pieces and play the percentages. Credit to O'Neill as he is by and large working with dross so he's done very well to have them up there

Chelsea have not won at Villa Park in yonks. Ill give Villa some credit though they do have some pace in Agbonlahor and Ashley Young and a team that plays pretty hard. Oneill and Moyes deserve more credit then anyone for what they have done, Even recovering Alcoholic, Red Cheeks Redknapp has Pompey playing above their weight.

The way football is going if Abramovich gets bored im sure there will no end of possible foriegn tycoons from Dubai or wherever willing to jump in.

Even the Bindipping Scousers with all their "history" have resorted to being run by two Yanks who would be more familiar with the Cincinatti Reds then anything Liverpool.

Liverpool must be surely due another disaster where their fans can blame everyone but themselves (Police, stewards, the ground, architects, The Sun, SkyTV, UEFA are usually high up the bindippers list of people to blame)

Spot on about Moyes and O'Neill ... doing very well with the limited players they have ... we'd be up there if Ramos took the place of the Fat Dutch Clown earlier on (a league table since the day he took over has spurs in 6th)

Redknapp is the world's richest manager ... he moves or doesn't ove jobs and cleans up on betfair ... he basically agreed to the newcastle job to newcastle's owner .. put the rumours out and had people laying the bets on him becoming newcastle manager ... you'll also recall him cleaning up when he moved to pompey. Saggy jowelled bung taking crook .. utter spiv ... and his son was complete sh*t

I find Souths and Liverpool very similar, with very similar supporters.

Massive chips on their shoulder and the world owes them all something.

They both support the greatest clubs on Earth, just ask them.
