As everyone's boasting...

Racing Santander on track for UEFA for first time ever. They are one of the most consistently mediocre sides but over the past two seasons they've managed to lift up into contention for a place. They're not competitive against the guns, lack a decent attack and rely on other sides' mistakes. On the other hand, very strong at home. Remind me a lot of some of the boring NRL sides...Canberra until recently.

Well Everton proved far from morals as Chelses grinded them into submission with a well deserved 1-0 win. It was a fantastic defensive display from the likes of Makelele, Carvalho, Beletti and the unbeatable Cech.

With Lampard, Drogba, Terry, Ballack, Essien, Mikel, Kalou and co due back for the final, I pity Spurs

Cmon Chelsea!

Geez everton were poor apart from that spell where Cech made 2 very good saves. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and that goal in injury time in the 1st leg was a killer ... Lescott getting shoved by Gary f**king Coleman.

On the up side it should be a nice tear up ....

Everton were just grinded out of the game. Everton have some quality players up front in Johnson, Cahill and Arteta. The Chelsea back 6 including Maka and Cech were imperious and made Everton look without any idea going forward. It was a very similar performance to the one which made quality players like Berbetov and Keana look so listless at Stamford Bridge 2 weeks ago.

It was the perfect away Semi Final performance at a very difficult venue. Everton were made to like sh*te and there so called support was made to look sh*te, all i could here were the 2000 Chelsea contingent singing from the first whistle.

Sets up a London Derby Final at Wembely, the place should be rocking. Given our record in this competition and our record against Spurs, a 7th trophy in 4 years is well within reach.

Johnson is a spastic mate ... very short on quality.

This may surprise you but i am not a big fan of robbie keane and spurs are a more solid side (defensively) without him.

2,000 for a semi is a poor turnout ... almost as bad as the 800 the scum took to wigan 2 yrs ago ... i was there for the WCC and pissed myself when Roberts got the winner at the library

I admit Johnson looks a shadow of himself this season. Cahill is a player you very seldom see during the actual run of play but he has a habit of popping up so often with vital goals. Arteta is probably there only decent creative player.

They missed the Yak up front. He looks disinterested at times, but he is a quality finisher with a quality record of scoring at average teams like Pompey and Midds.

Johnson tries hard, runs round lots like a headless chicken but he's ordinary ... does his best but will always be technically limited. Cahill is a top notch player ... a far better player and far better contributor in general play than fat frank ... and scores against good sides unlike fat frank who gets 7 penalties a yr, scores hat tricks against macclesfield and wycombe and hits doubles against sunderland after drogba shanks and mish*ts

Yakubu is a good player .. wy the f**k do they persist in playing the NNNC at this time of yr eh ?

Hmmm, Another Hater.

Manonthehill I enjoy your posts and agree with many of your contributions regarding Coach Shines and his odious mates. However to say Cahill Is a better contributor then Lamps in general play is a little far fetched. Lampard has had the top number of goal assists fro Chelsea and a few times in the PL over the past 5 seasons. Cahill scores good goals, but could no way be classed as a proper center Midfidler like Lampard who works his ass off box to box and still gets in great positions. Frank is not blessed with great pace, or unbelivable dribbling skills, however he is extremely effective and his production is second to none.

Maybe that double against Spurs in the FA Cup Quarter Final Last season bites a little. or must we class that as a small game against a small club?

Shouldve added it to the bitchfighting thread unit.....some interesting posts youve deleted.
considered that.

Generally speaking I'm all for debate (as most people would already know) but a few posts were reported, so they had to dealt with. Hopefully we can get most of the thread restored soon.
