Asquith have signed a few ex eels due to Mark Horo's connection but I believe Basan isn't one of them.

Basan and Valu Nasio are the two players mentioned in this thread. Who else is going to Asquith?

That rumour was doin the rounds after the GF Final, but i dont think it will happen. Wests Tigers offered Basan the same deal as the Eels did (which he wasnt very impressed with). It is more likely he will be playing for Asquith in JBC

he will be at tigers or cabra jim beam he wont be at asquith!

at the eels he could have taken the offer but wouldnt play much with:

j williams
d williams
a graham

all in front of him for fullback or winge

better chance at tigers

1 thing I failed to mention was that Ben Taia brother of Zeb will also be moved up to Premier league, he's a kid with enormous potential who had an injury disrupted season this year.

What position do they play?

Because aggressive forwards who aren't afraid of the biff is just what the doctor ordered, for mine!

Ben plays front row. Zeb is a good second rower who can play front row as well.

With Moi Moi out of the picture for the first few rounds, what are the chances that The Enforcers Taia (get it? Instead of 'The Brothers Grimm', I used 'The Enforcers Taia'! Oy...) may get a go?

I think an aggressive and effective pack is a great way to go about things...

Oh I agree....but I was making more the point that I couldn't believe someone like the Bulldogs wern't interested...cause he is definately better than Daniel Holdsworth...or even the Sharks because he's better five-eight than Vagana or Dykes...

Jeremy's problem is that Parra was his 4th club in 4 years and he does carry some baggage with him, cronulla was one of the clubs he was at but an incident involving another player saw him part ways with the Sharks.

I coached Greaves in a 15's rep side & coached my club team against his to win the GF in the same year. He was the best on feild for them. But my boys were better!

he's not a bad little player, can play in tha backline and in the backrow, he's been told by the club to baulk up a bit and work on his game a little and they'll check his progress throughout next season.
