Adam Sandler!

There's a really funky tune in it (i think it is early in the film) that rips off an old 'ohio players' tune, which was covered by the red hot chilli peppers in their song 'love rollercoaster'

dunno which song on the soundtrack it is, but it certainly samples or reworks the tune (but at a slower speed)

a youtube link to the orig. song

Tarantino is a genius at this.
His movies have awesome soundtracks.

He made dick dale famous ..again.

100% spot on. I drink with a dude at Botany RSL who even did surf guitar WAY before The Atlantics or Dick Dale. He's the funniest bastard youd ever wish to meet.

But Tarantino is brilliant at bringing back old songs, or even just plain good songs. Ever see True Romance ? Thats my fave Tarantino flick bar none. I WANT that soundtrack !! :)

Did you know that the scene where Christian Slater kills Gary Oldman (Drexel Spivey) ... did you know that song was called I Want Your Body by Nymphomania ? Hardly anyone does ... but here it is

There is a song in the movie "The Beach" called "Touched" by VAST. When I first heard it I had no idea what it was. A few weeks after seeing The Beach a friend gave me a copy of the VAST CD and that song was on it.

Phenomenal song and CD.

Listened to it ... loved it. Brilliant pick there EA.

I'm stuck with Q Lazarus - Goodbye Horses from Clerks 2/Silence Of The Lambs. Funny rip off of the Silence scene but also just a weird song. Apparently theres another of theirs in Philadelphia as well but dont remember watching that movie, although I know I have.

Ta, the CD is phenomenal, it's an experience. He's tried to recapture it but hasn't in later CD's. But I still listen to the first one regularly after 4 or 5 years.

If you haven't heard anything else from the CD, try "Pretty When You Cry".

You know that bit at the end ... God that reminds me so much of The Tea Party from the Edges of Twilight album. Not sure if you know them mate, but listen to The Bazaar (or Sister Awake is an even better example) By The Tea Party .... such a great sound ... Led Zep-ish when they used alot of Middle Eastern sound at that time.

Anyway for those who dont know wtf Myself and EA are going on about ... have a listen to his pick ... Vast - Touched ... tis quality.
