I propose that we make sure we do the annual awards annually, except now they'll be known as the "Mr. A's"
A take on the Dally M's, so to speak.
OK, good idea

For the record the LU Sharks Forum Awards were the brainchild of millersnose ( I think) back in 2005 when we all migrated here.

I'll take on their re emergence for 2024 in honour of Dave.

I'll use the original categories and try and throw in something new. Will look to get them up before the semis.

I am very sorry if it is weird using Dads account to reply but I don't have my own. This comment meant so much to me,thank you! I'm so glad he shared his life with people on here as you all seem like a tight knit group.

I never met your Dad, but there was a post he made some time ago that really stuck with me. It was pretty random and I don't really remember how it came up, may have been a discussion about food or something like that.

He was talking about when you were feeling sad he would make you boiled eggs with vegemite toast soldiers, I'll try and find the post, but it just got me a bit misty at the time as I did exactly the same thing for my daughter when she was little. Iirc she was still little at the time of the post, was a while ago.

The kicker was how he ended the post.

She loves her dad.

I haven't had boiled eggs since without a thought to Mr Angry and his little girl.

A bit misty again now I'm not ashamed to say. The internet is a strange place. It's pretty cool how some interactions with strangers can affect you.

Stay strong and know your old mans memory lives on. If I can find the post I'll copy it here.

I do not do photos.

But if I ever want to make my daughter happy.

Poached eggs on vegemite toast, then topped with cheese and grilled, little salt and pepper and a few sprigs of spring onion.

Then tell my your troubles child.

Loves her Dad that one, such an Aussie girl.
Search function goes alright.

Was poached eggs, not boiled. The point remains the same.

Great posts mate.
@Mr Angry Little Miss, this fella is a Penrith supporter. Dad really made an impression across the whole board.
